Greyhound-Data were approached by the Newly Formed Greyhound Racing Club of China (GRCC) to assist in the creation of a stud book for their club. Greyhound-Data has committed to recording the accurate data on the whole of life of Greyhounds within the GRCC. It has been agreed with the GRCC that all Greyhounds entered into the studbook must be microchipped and DNA tested to ensure its integrity.

As part of our agreement with the GRCC the first greyhound welfare centre in China will be setup. We also will be assisting in an Education programme to promote excellence and best practice in Greyhound Welfare and Care.

GRCC hope to take the best practises from all greyhound bodies around the world and set up a hobby sport.

Greyhound-Data Goals

The setting up of the first Greyhound Welfare Kennels in Mainland China with the Greyhound Racing Club of China (GRCC) to support its members.
These kennels will home GRCC members greyhounds in need until they are adopted out to their forever homes. Also, Greyhound-Data and GRCC funding will be put in place to help greyhounds in need of urgent medical treatment.

To assist the recently formed Greyhound Racing Club of China in best practice in its role as a controlling body for its members: The Greyhound Racing Club of China (GRCC) will accept all Greyhounds' Owners in mainland China that commit to follow its rules and regulations. The aim of their committee will be to deliver a Members Code of Conduct that follows its rules and regulations in order to promote excellence throughout the organisation and its members. The GRCC agrees:

• To provide knowledge and education to all involved with greyhounds in mainland China.
• To establish in partnership with Greyhound-Data the first Greyhound Welfare Kennels in mainland China specialising in homing and helping greyhounds in need.
• To maintain an accurate stud book in conjunction with Greyhound-Data.
• To register the Owners and Trainer of all GRCC stud book entries, ensuring accountability for the whole of life of all greyhounds of all GRCC Stud book entries.
• To promote excellence and best practice throughout the sport

To create and maintain a Stud Book for the newly formed Greyhound Racing Club of China (GRCC). This will enable the GRCC to begin to accurately record Greyhounds that are in mainland China and follow their lives from birth to their passing with a view to one day being able to account for all greyhounds in mainland China.
All dogs entered into the China Stud Book will be DNA profiled, parentage verified and microchipped. GRCC will issue a Greyhound ID Card showing the logo of Greyhound-Data and the GRCC once the dog is entered into the GRCC Stud Book.
