Fall for Hounds

On the 16th June 2014 they will climb into a light aircraft and fly to an altitude of 13,000 feet, at which point each of them will take a huge leap of faith and plummet down to Earth at 120mph!
They will free fall for fifty heart thumping seconds before their parachutes open and they descend gently to the ground!
These are the incredibly brave participants who have signed up for the Fall for Hounds fundraiser in aid of the Retired Greyhound Trust.
For those of us who prefer to keep our feet firmly on the ground but want to support this fantastic event we are posting this thread to coincide with Julie Colliers appearance on RPGTV each week along with this link

It would be great if everybody who is doing the jump could post a link - then people could choose who to sponsor and we would know who the brave souls are to give our cowardly thanks!

Not long now...last chance to sponsor any of the brave souls that will be hurling themselves out of an aircraft to raise money for the Retired Greyhound Trust!
I'm not brave enough...so I took the easy option of sponsorship and I'm much...much...more comfortable with that!!!

COPIED FROM THE RP WEBSITE -
JULIE COLLIER, organiser of Monday's mass skydive to raise funds for the Retired Greyhound Trust, is hoping the event will prove to be the charity's biggest single fundraiser ever.
"I really can't say how much we're hoping to raise as I'm not sure what we will get, but it is in the tens of thousands," said the RPGTV and Sky Sports presenter.
"The auction has a new lot to that already advertised - a tour of Jonjo O'Neill's Jackdaws Castle stables. The winning bidder will be able to watch the horses gallop followed by breakfast and then a walk around the stables, yard, equine swimming pool and therapy unit. After that it's a day at the races to include lunch and full hospitality.
"I expect there'll be plenty of interest in a couple of well-bred pups. There's a bitch by Hondo Black out of Aero Joker, who's with Sally Williams at the Shelbourne Stud. The winning bidder [current top bid 1,000] can chose the bitch from a choice of five who were born at the end of May. And there a nearly 12-month-old bitch [current top bid 2,100] by Premier Fantasy out of Strawberry Lass, schooled to 15 months.
"There's a full list of all the lots a EXTERNAL LINK and I'd like to stress that it's important for those not coming to have their bids to me by 6pm on Monday.
"Of course, all are welcome on the day and night. There are plenty of people coming who aren't jumping, but the more the merrier. They can support us at the airfield [Sibson Airfield, PE8 6NE] with the jumping from 12.30pm and a party at the Angel Inn in Yarwell [PE8 6PR] from 6pm, barbecue at 7pm and the auction starts at 9pm.
List of jumpers Amanda Ainsworth, Amy White, Andy Price, Angela Whittaker, Anna Webber, Annie-Jo Poole, Arron Dunn, Billy Boyle, Bobby Williams, Carol Grasso, Colin Denwood, Dan Rushton, Daniel Heard, Danielle Butterworth, Dave Levy, Elizabeth King, Frances Allen, Hannah Earnshaw, Jack Murrell, Jim Daly, Joe Excell, Joe Scanlon, John Ivan-Duke, John Porter, Julie Collier, Karl Jackson, Kate Aris, Katherine Cole, Kelly Gutteridge, Leanne Sallis, Lorraine Sams, Matthew Harrison, Matthew Nicholls, Mel Shields, Molly Gower, Oliver Haigh, Olivia Noble, Paul Brown, Peter Laurie, Rachael Carter, Rich Hanley, Richard Devenish, Richard Smith-Gore, Samuel Zelmer-Jackson, Sid Huett, Simon Gower, Stuart Forsdike, Susan Reavall, Tamminy Gleeson, Teresa Cahill, Tom Francis, Tony Alexander.

Livi Noble and Angela Whittaker have also made it down safely...it's like waiting for homing pigeons, waiting for everyone to make an appearance on social media after their adventure.
Before expenses it's estimated that 82k has been raised for the RGT...phenomenal amount. Well done to all.
