Hi folks,
I have discussed my role with the GD team and I will no longer take any part in the moderation of topics. Moderation can be contentious and fairness is often a perception that's differs between people. Also, any posts which I write will be scrutinised by the GD Forum Administrators according to the same guidance that governs all posts on the website. I sincerely thank all of you who made the time and effort to contact me over the last few days. I've been overwhelmed by your generousity of spirit.
I believe Greyhound-Data (GD) is a valuable resource in creating a legacy of information for greyhound enthusiasts worldwide. In years to come when my memory is failing me (which might not be too far away!) I want to be able to use GD to reminisce on the breeding and offspring of my favourite hounds and read about their exploits on the track, field and loving couch.
Luckily I grew up under the expert tutelage of my father who has spent a lifetime caring for greyhounds and I inherited his great passion for the sport and greyhound welfare. The thrills of racing at Dunmore Park Stadium with dogs such as Wings of Love and the comradery that existed amongst race goers were addictive. Those great relationships and memories have lasted longer than the stadium yet some memories get hazier as time goes by. However, one click on Wings of Love and I smile, thinking of the good ole days, and the happy memories he brought us whilst racing and during his well earned retirement.
I will continue to contribute to the communications on the website therefore if you would like to share your news stories or interesting facts via GD so that future generations can search our names or dogs and read about the trials and tribulations that we faced then please feel free to post them on the Forum or get in contact with me via email ([email protected]) where I would hope to be able to assit.

Lynda,
You will be badly missed as a forum administrator. It will be a big loss for data, as well as for all the people who read the forum.
So many people, on other greyhound forums have said this yesterday, and so many praised your hard work, great attitude, fairness, and your wonderful style of writing.
Glad that you will still contribute anyway. Your knowledge and experience of greyhounds is a valuable asset when there are so many on here with a very short time in our sport. Looking forward to reading your posts. You could make a bigger contribution as a poster than a moderator!

Don't go Lynda. You are the best one. The site needs you.

Dear Helen, Yvonne, Lotte, Paddy and Clare,
thank you sincerely for your kind words which genuinely mean a lot to me. We have a great team of people who volunteer their time to support the website but the work of the Forum Administrators is often an unrewarding role.
I'm very fortunate that the team are supporting me to steer completely clear of that role and instead concentrate on communications. I have always enjoyed posting the results, news or upcoming evets that I read about via various media sources.
