Sandro - any chance of when you have all the data collated you could post on data or send by email the tracks, distances and times you will use. I'd like the nsw data as a reference. Cheers.

Hi Jack
Either myself or Tony will get back to you on that point.
Once entered, the final decision is not up to me.

Hi Jack and Sandro, there is no problem posting them in this thread either when we are finished or as we go along.

Hi Rod, once we know the dates of the changes at each track we can adjust the system to meet these changes.
For instance we currently have set the 520m 100% time at Wentworth Park to 30.05sec. We have been told that the first turn was altered in 2001 so have set this time to begin in 2002. If our members have figures for what the 100% time was prior to the changes done at Wentworth Park we could implement this time up until 2001. That way it would give us a comparison between dogs of yesteryear and today.
It should be noted that these GD Form Points are only ever to be used as a guide. If you decide to buy a pup or choose a sire please do not rely solely on our figures but do you own research.
So in answer to your question Rod once we have the correct 100% times in place we can go back to any race results put on the website.

Hi Guys, you may or may not of noticed over the last few months that Australian race results have been going up on Greyhound-Data.
The next stage of this process is to allocated points to each dog for each race it has, please see the link below:
This will then give a quick assessment of a sire: (This is always only an assessment and before you pick any sire to use for breeding you should always do your own research).
In order to implement this system we will need input from you to tell us what the 100% time is at your local track over each of the distances.
* Please note the 100% time is the time a Free for All dog would run at your local track.
Once an 100% time is allowed to your track any dog that runs this time is allocated 100 points, if it goes faster it will score over 100 points, if it goes slower it will score less than 100 points.
Also we would need to know when and what changes have been made at you local track which have made big differences to the times being ran. For example, does anyone know roughly when the first bend was changed at Wentworth Park?
Team Member Sandro Bechini has volunteered to organise all of the data and work directly with you to get this system as accurate as is possible.
This process will take a couple of months and during this time the ratings against your dog will vary as changes are made, please do not take offense at this as the system will take time to implement and changes will occur regularly.
Lets make this a positive project that we can all take part in.
Unfortunately Queensland and Tasmanian tracks will not be included at this point as we have not heard back from Tasmania and Queensland have elected not to give us their results at this time. If anyone from these organisation would like to contact me please email [email protected]
Thank you to all the states and territories that have allowed us access to results. A big thank you also to Adam Wallish and Andrew Gibson from Greyhound Racing Victoria for collating these results and all your help in setting up an easy system to download them.
Great effort to all the team!

Hi Paul, it is great to see a breeder getting behind our GD Form Points. This system can only get better as time goes on with more and more Australian race results being uploaded.
Thanks again Paul for all the support you have given to Greyhound-Data.

Hi Anthony
Generally speaking we look at the published data by the various Greyhound Associations as to what is the average time for FFA to Grade 3 for every distance at every track in Australia to establish the 100% time
