Hi Guys, you may or may not of noticed over the last few months that Australian race results have been going up on Greyhound-Data.

The next stage of this process is to allocated points to each dog for each race it has, please see the link below:

CLICK HERE

This will then give a quick assessment of a sire:
(This is always only an assessment and before you pick any sire to use for breeding you should always do your own research).

CLICK HERE

In order to implement this system we will need input from you to tell us what the 100% time is at your local track over each of the distances.

* Please note the 100% time is the time a Free for All dog would run at your local track.

Once an 100% time is allowed to your track any dog that runs this time is allocated 100 points, if it goes faster it will score over 100 points, if it goes slower it will score less than 100 points.

Also we would need to know when and what changes have been made at you local track which have made big differences to the times being ran. For example, does anyone know roughly when the first bend was changed at Wentworth Park?

Team Member Sandro Bechini has volunteered to organise all of the data and work directly with you to get this system as accurate as is possible.

This process will take a couple of months and during this time the ratings against your dog will vary as changes are made, please do not take offense at this as the system will take time to implement and changes will occur regularly.

Lets make this a positive project that we can all take part in.

Unfortunately Queensland and Tasmanian tracks will not be included at this point as we have not heard back from Tasmania and Queensland have elected not to give us their results at this time.
If anyone from these organisation would like to contact me please email [email protected]

Thank you to all the states and territories that have allowed us access to results. A big thank you also to Adam Wallish and Andrew Gibson from Greyhound Racing Victoria for collating these results and all your help in setting up an easy system to download them.

At the moment we are only monitoring times for Wentworth Park since 1 Jan 2015

I will confirm with the GBOTA at what date the last track modification was made and then readjust the date accordingly

Sandro, stated on "stats" at victorian tracks are average times per grade over distance (I use my local track Bendigo as an example) EXTERNAL LINK Is this the type of information you are after?

Hi Richard

I have done the Victorian tracks and have used those times as a basis for calculating the '100% time' i.e. what a Free For All dog would be expected to run at each distance at each track

Thanks for looking at that for me

Could you please give me your opinion as to what a FFA dog should run at Bendigo for each distance as I want to compare it to what I have entered in the system?

Sandro, I reckon the grade 3 times would be what is expected of a free for all across all Victorian tracks. GRV have done most of the work here but it may be worth throwing out the question of (is the grade 3 average across Vic as per GRV averages indicative of FFA times?)
Cheers.
Rich

As for Bendigo,,,,FFA, I would say bench marks for good 425M times are around 24:05... 500M 25:05 is a hot run and on par with a Meadows G5 win on a Saturday night. 660 a 30:00 flat is pretty much a great run.

Are you sure? 25.05sec for 500m

Dont know how I managed to come up with that time.. over the 500 a FFA time would be around the 28:05 660 around the 38:00 flat

Thanks mate.

I have got 23.90 for the 425m time, 28.20 for the 500m and I have got 38.00 for the 660m.

With the 425m time I see a lot of young dogs get under 24.00 whereas when city class dog go there they seem to break 24secs regularly.

The Bendigo 425m statistics say that the Grade 1-4 times range from 23.84 to 24.00.

I think 23.90 is not a bad mark for a FFA dog

As far as the Bendigo 500m times are concerned I may have too generous there as the track statistics say that the times for Grade 1-4 races range from 28.06 to 28.18.

Therefore, I sohuld reduce my 100% standard to say, 28.10 which is closer to what you have

What do you think Richard?

Hi Sandro, to get more GD Form just to see how its working we should take the start date back to 2010.

This will put more information in re the Sires and gives us a better overview. We can always adjust it back if we are informed about track changes.

I will start on it now and if you see any I have missed can you please change them, thanks Sandro.

Come on guys, help us get this GD form points going. What time do you think a Free for All dog would run around your track over each of the distances.

You don't have to be exact just give us a start point.

Just to name a few tracks we need:

Richmond

Cannington

The Gardens

Canberra

The best way to see if your track has a 100% time is simply look up your dogs races on GD and look in the column "Form" if there are no GD form points then we need your help, if there are points there but you think its wrong let us know, thanks.

Hi Rhys, the Richmond 618m time looks to be spot on. If we look at Space Star for instance he has scored similar GD form points at 4 different tracks so this shows us we are moving in the right direction.
