With the blanket ban on any baits being used on the lure what do people want or expect.Prices will definitely rise especially breaking in and rearing and I do think training fees will rise.

could be a silver lining for some i guess Jmac..If you are doing your own not alot will change except the ones that blooded will think twice or find other ways.As ive said before if the chase is in them breaking is pretty simple just time consuming. If they dont have that gene in spades it will seperate the wheat from the chaff quick.

John,

I WANT/EXPECT to be able to train my dogs in a way I believe will get the desired result of the dog chasing truly, focused, and run to the best of it's ability...all within the law.

That law has to take into consideration the animal that we are working with...a HOUND.
Restrictions on reward for mainly meat eating animals diminished to a synthetic rag is a guaranteed ruination of the industry. Imo.

So, that law must include animal products and by-products...deceased.

After all, it's their diet.

Why would rearing fees increase John?

With all the problems, rule changes and talk things at my place have not change at all 'things are the same today as they were before the incidents.
Everyone should continue to do what they think best for themselves and not be concerned about other peoples bussiness get your dogs ready for a life of racing and continue on.
Game set match life goes on.

Pay $110 a week at the breakers per pup. $90 per week pre training per pup, $20 per week per pup rearing from 3 months to 4 months, $30 per week 4 months to 5 month per pup, $40 per week 5 months to 6 months per pup and $50 per pup from 6 months of age through to breakers. Also pay for insemination costs and any vet bills that are included in the delivery of pups. Cannot see the costs increasing that much that we cannot cope with what is happening now. Prices rise all the time, strangely they never decrease for long periods. Fact of life.

. The rule changes are designed to keep the industry (or sport however you see it) as a hobbyist past time. The rules are not progressive, they are regressive & all they will do is kill off or deter new participants.

Has HUMANS have NO impact after dogs leave the boxes--

IT is well past time to do away with the marring rule in Maiden events.

Dogs have NO idea at the start of their racing life they are BREAKING the rules.

Get rid of it.

All dogs are MUZZLED.

So let young dogs RACE.

Trainers WILL get rid of Fighters.

JUST My thought for today.

Elsie.

I would like the FOL introduced every 3rd meeting across all tracks at a minimum. Also I'd like to see someone in authority expose AA as a group who use animals as a tool to fleece the public by feeding the media outright garbage to pay themselves executive salaries while pretending they have animals welfare at heart. It's a scam.

I'd like to see a level playing field
a better grading system where dogs of similar ability are only racing against each other and or against good young dogs going through their grades
I would like to see a complete wall of Welfare where dogs can race on grass or on sand where we have the chance to race on straight tracks whether arm or drag
I'd like to see new comers have a 2 or 3 year qualification period before they can train for the public
I'd like to see run ons where needed especially at the break in centres
I'd also like to see a with drawal period of at least 14 to 21 days from when a dog was given an S4 or higher drug especially ones that can enhance performance we keep a medical log so it shouldn't be too hard to do

How about a fair go and to not be discriminated against because of the breed of dog we love? The rules and regulations grow more by the day and do nothing to encourage investment in the industry IMO.

In SA you need to have had a trainers licence for 12 months before you can apply for a public trainers licence.

I personally have had no issues with grading in SA others may dispute this.

All we need in SA is the FOL lure back at Angle Park for mine, and some sponsors
