Had some of the same on the Melbourne ABC morning show hosted by noted leftist DJ John Faine who interviewed a lady representing Animal Liberation Victoria who have taken up an issue to stop Farmers and Shearers swearing, yelling and shouting at the sheep when working with them.....she reckons the sheep feel threatened and frightened and it is unnecessary pressure on the "poor" animals and the practice must be stopped immediately. I kid you not, they have engaged a legal firm to instigate legal processes to have it banned.
To John Faine's credit on this occasion he called these imbeciles out and told her it was a ridiculous notion.

well Howard if the Antis think there is a problem with the swearing and cursing maybe they should take up the shears and try their hand at it if you know anything about sheep they are pretty dumb so the antis doing it the shearing it could be a match made in heaven

Well that's just incredible!!! It sounds like a hilarious prank, not an actual true incident! It's time the RSPCA changed its rules and only investigated appropriate reports of animal cruelty. Why spend valuable time and money to investigate swearing at sheep! Even if it's true, how could they bring a successful prosecution?
Yes, swearing at sheep....PETA goes undercover using public donations to investigate this act of animal cruelty. The interviewer stated PETA are keen to put farmers out of business....sounds familiar!

As an ex sheared, rouseabout and wool presser all I can say is God help us. I worked from Charters Towers Qld to Hamilton in Vic and everywhere in between - also did a stint in N.Z. And in all that time you always had the cocky watching over the shed as the last thing they wanted was their sheep cut or hurt in anyway so there isn't any abuse apart from the farmer swearing at a shearer if he cut a sheep. Never heard anyone defending the poor shearer copping a gob full from the farmer. The sheep definetely didn't say much. Lol.

The most unbelievable broadcast ever. My wife doesn't even believe it is not just a joke. I Emailed this out to my Email list. The comments I received back were comical . One vet said I can't believe my ears. Another person said "last week the wife and I donated a hundred dollars. I won't be showing her this --- she thought I was mad to start with

Some members on this website would know I own & run a PET FOOD SHOP.
5 Minutes after this interview aired on 2GB, I spoke to a local farmer about the interview.
I stated "I just listened to an interview on the radio where the RSPSA drove 2 days from Melbourne (Victoria) to a SHEEP STATION in Broken Hill (NSW) regarding a complaint about Animal Abuse towards Sheep. He said "What's it about...What did they do?". I stated "Workers SWEARING at sheep". Know word of a lie.....He nearly fell over backwards in laughter.
I mentioned it to a few more customers......mostly house wife's who couldn't believe their ears.
One said to me "They (RSPCA) obviously haven't been to the Club / Pub lately or even the local footy game where language like that is the norm.
One person rang 2GB not long after the interview & stated - "How do we know that SHEEP don't swear back at us??? As they only ever seem to finish half their sentence off.......BBBBBAAAAAARRRRRRRR -------- (Bastards) LMFAO
