FROM TRAP 5 THIS LAD OUTPACED A GREAT FIELD AND WON IN 28.63 {FASTEST TIME OF NIGHT} RATED .25 SLOW IN MY OPINION AND MANY MORE IT WAS MORE LIKE .50 SLOW {A FEW RACES LATER IT WAS RATED .40 SLOW} CONGRATULATIONS TO GEOFF I WILL BE KEEPING AN EYE OUT FOR HIM FOR ALL THE MAJORS NEXT YEAR

Bobby I think you right, I was there and plenty of surface water on the track. I wrote on my program going 50 slow.

Thankyou

Dogs with small trainers tend to get over looked......Mr Fortune seemed to think it was a shocked result but Havana had two previous
FTN at Shelbourne with a 28.19 .....not such a shock . When he gets it right hes a nice dog and Geoff has worked like mad to bring him on nicely

He was very unlucky not to be in the main 525 race because he would have won it

The Night Of Stars Open 525 had promised so much but Tarsna Havana (Skywalker Puma-Tarsna Sal) spoiled the party.

Above is quoted from Talking Dogs and seems a rather odd comment, almost as if the race was a disappointment rather than having the fastest 525 winner of the night. Having studied recent race form it is also clear that Havana was unlucky (if luck played any part) not to have been included in the main 525 race worth 10K to the winner. Havana is AAO with recent runs of 28.19 and 28.29 as opposed to the main race containing 3 dogs AO or lower and with poor recent race form. I am sure he will now be put away for the winter and come out fighting again in the spring.

HAVANA UPSETS THE PARTY
The Night Of Stars Open 525 had promised so much but Tarsna Havana (Skywalker Puma-Tarsna Sal) spoiled the party.
Many were billing this as a match between Jaytee Dutch and Laughil Bolt but that never materialized due to a fine front-running performance from Tarsna Havana. Showing fine early dash from trap 5, Geoff Parnabys canine quickly found himself in command and despite a brief challenge from Laughil Bolt round the final two bends, there was only going to be one winner. Crossing the line, he had one and a half lengths to spare over Laughil Bolt and Go Dex Go in 28.63sec.

This is the whole write up and quite frankly its bloody insulting......

I have teeth worn pointing out the contradictions and gaffs of this scribe. Better ignore anything bar his race commentaries. Rather than promote his Greyhound Review he should examine the class and winning time of Havana's race.
