No dog bought yesterday. I don't think we will be trying to hide anything as I know lots of people will be following our progress. We will be purchasing a dog in the very near future and will keep this post going so everyone can keep track.

I think it was sensible to wait for the right dog to come along...

Hi All,

Unfortunately, it did not happen on the day for us and the handful of Dogs that took our fancy, ended up out of reach.

Anyway, the positive is that the syndicate is staying together and will be on the look out for a nice pup, so as Bobby said above, watch this space!!

There was a lot of interest shown in the syndicate and we think we might just keep the concept going and maybe start putting together a second one. The first syndicate is full but if anyone else is interested in joining our next one please let us know by emailing: [email protected]

Hopefully Team GeeDee will have plenty of nights out next year and in the years to come! The right pup is worth waiting for!

Hi Peter,

Sorry I never got to see you on Saturday. I think some of the mobile networks went down as I lost service on the phone and I think Peter had the same issue. It should n;t be too long now before we get the right dog.
I hope you had a good night.

Its been a long road but the GeeDee Racing Syndicate held fast and more importantly stayed together. We first tried to buy a dog at the sales in Shelbourne in August 2016 but our pockets weren't deep enough. The fastest Dog on the day went on to win the Irish Derby in 2017. The one thing we had confirmed on this day was that our Trainer would be Martin Lanney and he went on to win the Irish Oaks 2017! So let's hope we picked our Breeder right and he has another big race winner in 2018 with our lad GeeDee Allstar, formerly Swift Zoom. In fairness to Ian Greaves a big thank you must go your way as we got off to a false start but you stood by your word and looked after us.
Our Trainer Martin Lanney has been a pleasure to deal with and he didn't rush trying to find us a nice Dog so thanks to you also. Your facilities are first class and our syndicate members are very happy!!
This is a link to our lad CLICK HERE GeeDee Allstar who has his first race in Dundalk tonight.
Best of Luck tonight Zoom, you have the racing name of a champion but if you just have fun and come home safe - we will be happy!

Super run by Zoom last night, he popped out and did everything right. He showed real nice early to lead up and he ran the track well but just got chinned a short head on the line. Well done to the connections of the winner.

Nonetheless, it was great catching up with the rest of the syndicate and we are now in our first final the "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer 525" next Friday night so here is hoping we can go one better and get the festivities kicked off with a winner!!

29:10 in Dundalk is a decent run for a July pup. Looks to have an exciting future.

Delighted to report that GeeDee Allstar (Zoom) won on Friday night in Dundalk. It was only his third race having finished second in his previous two starts. Having found trouble out of traps on his last start, he made no mistake this time and flew from traps doing a fantastic 2.38 split and came home by 3.25L in 29.25.
Well Done to our Trainer Martin Lanney and of course Zoom for giving the syndicate our first winner!!!
