| Great news we have secured a car to run a fundrasing raffle to help fund Scott's campaign. Details will be up shortly and you can buy online. Peter will put Scott's bank details up if people just want to donate. Also come election day he will be requiring people to man polling booths, the no forced amalgamation group will also be helping out. Scott spoke at the Bathurst track today so any feedback from locals would be great. Let use this as our chance to send a message that we will not take this ban lying down.

Spent some time with Scott today to get a feel for what he is about , happy to say that he is genuine and determined to win this byelection. Remember unlike a party candidate he dosent have the party machine and financial support behind him, what he does have is a ground swell of support from pissed off voters in this electorate from many different groups us being one of them, remember if we win this election the political fullout will offer the best opportunity to over turn this rediculous ban . I plead with all greyhound racing people to dig deep to help raise the funds necessary to help fund the campaign. The car raffle will be the bigone, but if every body throws in as much cash as they can spare right now so we can start his campaign imediately , below is his campaign bank accountScott Munroe SUNCORP BANK ORANGE BSB 484 799 ACC NO 12 374293 8

The importance of winning the seat of Orange NSW Two state by-elections expected in NSW, as Orange MP Andrew Gee runs for federal seat of Calare ANDREW CLENNELL, State Political Editor, The Daily Telegraph Only PM, God know when election will be Who to watch in the lead up to the federal election EXCLUSIVE NSW is facing a second state by-election this year with Orange Nationals MP Andrew Gee announcing he is running for the federal seat of Calare after long-serving MP John Cobb announced his retirement at this years poll. Senior National Party sources said Mr Gee was believed to have worked hard on the numbers to win preselection for the seat. Mr Gee held a press conference at Orange to announce his decision. This is obviously a decision I have not taken lightly, Mr Gee said. Im acutely aware of the responsibilities to my 75,000 constituents all over the central west so I have obviously had to think about this very carefully. I have also fielded calls from many party members and constituents. And its also been made very clear to me by senior federal members of the party. I would be made feel very welcome in the federal party room. MP John Cobb announced his retirement recently. If successful, he will follow Labors MP for Canterbury and Deputy Opposition Leader, Linda Burney, into federal parliament. Ms Burney will be preselected by Labor for the seat of Barton. Linda Burney. Another option canvassed for Calare has been for Senator Fiona Nash to run for the seat, taking the newly-elected Federal Nationals deputy leader into the lower house but Ms Nashs office ruled this out yesterday. Sources said Mr Gee had the numbers. One Nationals MP said Mr Gee had annoyed Premier Mike Baird with his strong anti-government rhetoric on amalgamations. In a statement, Mr Gee said if unsuccessful in preselection, he would like to return to being state member for Orange. Preselections are gruelling processes and I am in no doubt about how difficult this one will be, Mr Gee said. I think it will be a very close contest and the outcome is uncertain. Should I not succeed at this preselection it is my intention to return to my duties as the Nationals state member for the Orange electorate. A Bathurst businessman, Sam Farraway, has also put his hat in the ring for preselection. The state by-elections could potentially be held on federal election day with Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull understood to be considering an election as early as July 2. OTHER NEWS: MIKE BAIRDS DAUGHTER ABUSED OVER LOCKOUT LAWS Ms Burneys decision to go to Canberra has meant there will be a ballot for the deputy leadership of the Labor Party on Monday. Both Labor leader Luke Foley and Labors new general secretary Kaila Murnain are said to be sitting on the fence when it comes to supporting either Shadow Treasurer Michael Daley or the oppositions roads and police spokeswoman Jodi McKay for that position. One source said Ms Murnain had offered both candidates her support. Some MPs said Mr Daley was marginally in front, as he had the support of most of the Right faction, and that Ms McKay would therefore pull out earlier than Monday rather than ignite an unnecessary war. I wont rule out (running), Ms McKay said. I have got a lot of support. Theres concern about the lack of female representation. We are a party that has always supported women in leadership. Thats a concern to me. I also think Im qualified to do the job. Michaels a mate of mine. I think hes very qualified ... as well. The preselection for the seat will be held April 30. Deputy Premier Troy Grant told The Daily Telegraph: Andrew is a strong member of my team and Id be sorry to lose him but he has a passion for federal issues so I wish him and Tina all the best.
