Greater Dandenong City Council profile

The City of Greater Dandenong is divided into four wards. Lightwood Ward in the north-west includes Springvale and Springvale South. Silverleaf Ward in the north includes Noble Park North and Dandenong North. Paperbark Ward includes Noble Park. Red Gum Ward includes Dandenong, Keysborough, Bangholme, Dandenong South and Lyndhurst.

Greater Dandenong City Council covers 129.419 sq Km.

If you had a look of minwenwu.com, you would see that I believe economy and employment is the biggest issue for CGD. Sandown Greyhound racing is a major asset for CGD's economy. CGD needs to transition its economy from traditional manufacturing towards service industry and smart economy. In-bound Asian tourism + sports (soccer, basketball, greyhound racing etc) + global village festival......could be fantastic for local economy and employment. Greyhound racing could also be introduced/exported/franchised to many parts of China possibly starting with our sister city of 20 years Xuzhou. A group of business people has approached me about the proposal to build Australia's biggest and best soccer stadium in Dandenong, plus 5 other businesses on one big site, including a 5 star hotel, a limousine fleet, an international buffet etc. Ideas like this are very exciting! I can't wait to roll up my sleeve and help make CGD a vibrant booming global village!
