Hi all, I have been asked to post this thread to inform everyone that the new administrator from GRNSW John Gibbons want's to close the track due to maintenance issues, For those of you that don't know this track has been in operation for 46 years without one complaint , A seven day notice has been put in place to conduct repairs which will be very expensive. The track is run by volunteers, They do a great job with the resources they have. This is just another kick in the bum for all of us, The track is mostly used for training pups.

It's a disgrace and why would the administrator still have any powers his job was to oversee the closure of racing but with the ban lifted this bloke should be turfed out.The people that work the track are dedicated and do their best with very old equipment and without these types of tracks it will be difficult to find places to educate pups.Grnsw look hellbent on regulating us out of the game.

Thirlmere is a great little trial track, Our trainer Garry Edwards has taken our bitch Maya Herrera there very recently and has such a high opinion of the track that he drives 2 hours each way to use it.
What are we going to use for a trial track if Thirlmere and Glengarry both close ?

GRNSW = GESTAPO. They are no better than Baird.
They never consult. Only dictate.
The hobbyist is being forced out by over regulation but no one says anything so we just accept it as gospel and cop it up the clacker! Enough.

That is the problem when there is a body with no leadership

The overall health and wellbeing of the industry is not being cared for

Instead of closing the facility why don't they fix the problems there and monitor the situation with regular inspections

This would leave a valuable training facility for puppies intact in a strong Greyhound Racing area

Tell me people ? Who actually owns this trial track,? And then we or I will make, inroads at the administrator ? to give us a direct answer to the reason , yes again too much without any consultation or transparency . And we are always pointed in the direction that our GRNSW act with Integrity & transparency? Please can somebody give me the correct answer who own's or has the lease for this track??

Why is the Administrator making these decisions when it's plain & clear he is only now there to warm the seat for a new CEO.?

We need trial tracks.

This one needs to be passed onto Ray Hadley

I have sent an email to our Administrator asking questions on the report on here about the issues with this trial track, asking to have answers to them, will post any, if any, on here for all to see?? WE desperatly need to keep some pressure on our leaders at the moment, changes are not all in our favor and should not be taken lightly ,and we all need to be at them ,all the time, so as not to be run over in the fog?? Otherwise as in the past they will take it that we are accepting what they want to put in front of us ::

Mark: How many on this New Panel (lead by M. Iemma) and including Brenton Scott, Own, Breed, Race, Train, have had any contact with Greyhounds? Yet we are to believe they will maximise, and Grow OUR Industry? Hang on a minute, must go feed the Fairies and Goblins in the Garden!

This has already been passed onto to Allan jones !!! As explained on 2gb thread yesterday !!! On the 1hour 47 min mark !!!
In 3 min he listens ....evaluates .... and then proceeds to ACT !!!!
I'll keep saying it ,and saying it !!!!!
It really is shameful how our own industries leaders are performing on a number of fronts !!!
We have got what we wished for in terms of public support and peoples resigning, yet we are still portraying a movement that can only be described as being stuck in neutral. In all the bad that is being made public from the governments turmoils , it is also showing and raising questions in our own camp !!! We are not displaying front foot material !!!!!
The ball has been rolling for months now , it was once understandable for secrecy!!! That time and action is over and open actions are warranted for the sake of everyone's interested !!! Latest point in hand is the above debacle !!!!!
WAKE UP !!!! And take action .... you are not leading !!!! You are falling behind !!!!!
And bringing us and Thirlmere trial track , with more to come !!! down with your inept silent secrecy bullcrap thoery !!!!

Here's yet another idea !!! Why don't the alliance outlay the 50k to stop the closure of this 40+ year historic track and on their BRAND NEW thread of correspondence which was due to start yesterday with any new movements and a show of transparency!!! Post and inform us of this quick response towards the governments open actions to put another nail in the industries coffin !!! Perfect opportunity to start your alliance thread , wouldn't it ????And gee I don't know while your at it ask for 500 Poeple to donate $100 !!!!! And cut and paste the paying donaters names for later thanks and congratulatories!!!
I'll be the first to donate $100 !!!!
Is all this common sense to hard to achieve ??? Or is just to much action for one day!
Or is it simply not the direction and path the alliance wishes to take !!!
Who knows .... no response , no communication will do that !!!

It is not an issue about injuries with pups mainly cosmetic fixes and modifications to the height of the running rail. There was a working bee last Sunday with a fair turnout of people who regularly use the track and a huge difference was made.A 7 day notice is extreme considering the work to be done but after Sunday considerable progress was made.A regular monthly working bee can happen to keep the track going.Remembering it runs on volunteers so users should help in maintenance. Some demands by GRNSW I feel we're out of line but hopefully ironed out in the coming week.

The tracks management only met again yesterday with GRNSW so this decision has come quickly and I would think without checking on the work done last Saturday. Here we go the administrator put in by Baird now hellbent on closing us from the grass roots.Im sure we would all like to know what the significant issues are and be given opportunity to see if they could be rectified. Now is the time to get rid of Baird once and for all his mate Newson started all our issues and now John Gibbons carries on wtf.Why is the so called Alliance not fighting this fight or are they rolling over to protect there own positions.I have now lost faith in anyone helping our situation even Brenton Scott who until the ban was invisible.Everyone will have their opinion but I now know mine we are getting our throats cut.
