"I HAVE NO REGRETS".

That was the comment in the quote to media on his last week.

Not too shocked to hear this really, as we were told 2 years ago through the Idecon report that this man & his board has a "MASSIVE SKILLS GAP".

His term in office will be remembered for the following reasons,

** Failure to work with Past & present CEO"S.

** Injuries to our dogs Increased over 70%.

** 4 High profile court cases to be decided which in turn is Another Huge Debt to the industry, and thats just the ones we know.

Nearly EVERY welfare rule broken sometimes twice over.

25 MIllion in DEBT due to INCOMPETENCE, which should have gone into prizemoney and helping our industry.

3 Times before the PAC (PUBLIC ACCOUNTS COMMITTEE).

NO new or improved sponsors. (E T S turned out to be a FAKE.

Asked the minister at the time to grant an exstenion to the contract of a CEO who played a Massive part in Bringing our game to its knees.

But like he said, "NO REGRETS">

Thank god the man was a disaster for the industry, although not all to blame if the minister of agriculture had any balls he would of been removed on grounds of incompetence

He shouldn't have given him the job in the first place because of incompetence.

Lets hope the next man comes in to the Job alert and fully switched on, this is not a Job you can do in your sleep but one might like to try.

Now I'm over the water from you guys & what I would say is that Phil Meaney is the most photographed man in Ireland! And if you don't believe me just get your annual review out and have a look. Great jobs them if you can get'em!

Good riddance.... think I'll find my way back greyhound racing. Have not been since the strike at shelbourne and said so as long as he was incharge.

Perhaps we will be lucky enough to get a new chairman who knows which end of a dog to feed!

Word going around the tracks that the new chairman is a state solicitor judging from the board history over the years we could do with one. Just hope he can win a case that others couldn't.

And also I'm told Phil gets his wishes to upgrade Kilkenny track to the tune of 1m.

To me it would sound worrying times for local tracks to Kilkenny .......
