I have to say i am extremely disappointed with the Facebook interview and talk back from Chief Grader Andrew Mills .

For 40 Min no one tried to Fix the Audio ....Pathetic effort ..

You could hardly hear what was coming out of there mouths ....

I seen well over 70 Comments yesterday on the GRV facebook page ..

The GRV wanted feedback and they got it fired at them with both barrels .

Feelings must of got hurt and the Members have spoken ..

Why do the GRV treat us all like fools ....
The GRV want participants to have their say but when the truth comes out they retreat ======

40 min of the worst Audio possible ...

This is not the way you run a Industry ...

Listen to your Members Big Al

You stole GOBIS ....
You crippled the breeding
You over regulated .
You made so many Trainers quit the Industry and this has been felt with a down turn in breeding .
Now we have this APM forced upon us all against its Members wishes .

Some people get fines and a slap on the wrist but someone else with the same charges gets suspended or disqualified...This is so wrong ..why is it so

Steve
The GRV set themselves to fail this will never work
The GRV brought in Tier 3 racing to protect the slower dogs in the industry and now they are throwing them away once again.
This decision will impact only the Hobby OTB..

Let's call it what it is BOAT RACING at it finest in 2019 ..

Boat races as you know are set up races designed to only have one winner....

One outcome one result ..

Who wants to see short priced favorites winning at all tracks from now on because that is what we will get and will see in time this will have a very negative impact for the little guys and betting ..

The PTB of Australian Greyhound racing do not want all of these smaller trainers and breeders out there today breeding they would rather back the big commercial operators like they have shown with these SANDOWN SYNDICATES .and breeding farm .and Spolly's is still getting plenty of free plugs at all tracks ....WHY

The farm purchase for 1.2 mill plus a further expected 1-2 mill for improvements ensures that we are getting closed out of racing Greyhound ..
We are all getting screwed ...

No one is listening to the Members ....Why Steve

The GRV are not listening to the GOTBA and it's Members in Victoria ....

The GOTBA is the only Group that can take on the GRV ...

Why has the GRV employed hundreds of people these past few years when they know that breeding numbers are way down and the Industry is stagnating on the decision the GRV make ..

I was told i had to be educated by a GRV employee in regards to Kennels size requirements ..
I then said can you please provide me with the paper work the code of practice they are enforcing and i was told they don't have one yet but i am the one who needs education as far as he is concerned............doh doh doh a Homer Moment ......... so right there we see what impossible obstacles some people have to endure..

Lets stop beating around the bush and call a SPADE A SPADE

Kev spot on!.
I can remember Ken cheetham ringing me up after a kennel inspection an was told they were 50 mil to small and I said, funny that the two NSW GREYHOUNDS OF THE YEAR NEVER NOTICED THEY WERE 50 MIL TO SMALL.
They should be run out of town not worth a cracker.

Steve the new code of practice the GRV are about introduce will have a negative impact on breeding .
The GRV cannot tell you how big your kennels have to be yet .

I know larger dogs will require larger kennels so maybe we are looking at a increase of a min 200 mill wide presently its 1200 wide ..

If you are building kennels do not build them yet or you will be forced to rip them down and start again ..

I also hear the Grandfather clause is going to be used for older kennels but all will have to come up to the New GRV code of practice over time .

Hardest hit will be the smaller kennels and hobby trainers and this will drive out more people from our Industry and it will all become way to hard for many ..

Steve i have been wrong many times before but i have a feeling our Industry will be cut in half within three years .....It will be a fight for our survival as we see it today ..

I have been a bagger of GOTBA on and off for years but i do believe the Committee is in there Fighting for us now .

The GOTBA is our only savior today ....The GOTBA in Victoria is doing a fantastic job in very tough trying times ...

The GOTBA in Victoria now has there finger on the pulse and backing them are some of the best OTB in Vic ...This is encouraging to hear ...

I hope i am wrong this time Steve

A show of unity by participants (holding back nominations)and a common sense meeting with GRV have ensured that at least 3 tier 3 meetings per week will be held until a long term solution can be determined. Could be considered a step in the right direction

OK,,, (playing devil's advocate here) The grader surely must follow the grading guidelines (If he didn't, I would guess a trainer would be up him). So having said that,,, I don't directly blame the grader as long as those parameters are followed fairly.... What I would like to know is WHO actually comes up with the "guide lines" and what interaction with trainers those responsible have had to arrive at a change of grading.... As for the recently advertised FB event, YES, it was a train wreck and being an issue we are all impacted upon (pre-advertised) why wasn't GOBTA invited? and why did GOTBA not demand a seat at the table?
