On the 22nd November 2020 Greyhound-Data will be 20 years old.
Thank you to Holger von Boehn for having the idea of creating the website and thank you to Gunnar, Anja and Gwen von Boehn for making it a reality.
Finding the words to thank the team both past and present is difficult, all I can say is you are amazing and fantastic people who have stepped up to the mark and kept the site moving forward. Without you we would not be here today.
Finally, thank you to all our members for your loyalty and support over the past 20 years. You guys are brilliant and I have been lucky enough to know you and establish friendships for life.

We will be running a competition in the forum to celebrate GD's birthday.

Happy 20th Birthday to the whole Greyhound Data Team & Congratulations on 20 years,of the most comprehensive greyhound website in the world.
There isn't a day that passes,( since 2006 ),that i don't check in & thoroughly enjoy what I read,what i learn & how much pleasure i selfishly get from Greyhound Data & everyone that contributes to this marvellous Greyhound platform !!.
Well done & looking forward to the next 20 years.

Happy birthday greyhound data,Im not sure when I first found the site but it must be very close to twenty years ago,I,like many many others have found it invaluable,everything that makes the internet good,a fantastic database and a fantastic forum of helpful people who readily impart their knowledge of this great sport of ours to aid others,more than can be said of the other poisonous forums that now exist,which in reality has stopped me from participating on any of them these days,lets be honest the sport is a shadow of its former self nowadays and sadly never likely to return,its basically a product for off course bookmakers now and is treated as such,days when large crowds used to cheers the winners home who also knew who they were cheering for have gone,sad but true.l thank the data team,past and present for their dedication and heres to the next twenty years,cheers . For those in the forum that do not know Ilse she has been a team member since the beginning and if you look under her name you will see Dogs 333553. This is the number of greyhounds Ilse has entered into our database.
She is a tireless worker who is the backbone of this website.

Thanks to Ilse so many U.S. pedigrees have names going back 5 generations or more instead of "unknown" in them.
Tony, was the counter there from the beginning or do people like Martin and Ilse actually have more than what shows?

Hi Dick, I am not sure when the counter was added but you can bet there has been many more dogs added. Also that number does not include updating the pedigree pages.
I see you have been very busy to Dick with 14966 dogs and 3173 races. Thanks mate you are always there to help it really is appreciated.
