And he's broken his own record TWICE since that run too, running 22.40 & 22.30.

What about on the country scene over the last 12 months or so. You don't hear about them.
I'm sure there are members on this site that maybe affiliated to these tracks....or may call the closest track to them HOME, that can report and tell us all about these exceptional athletes.

In the Temora Cup Hts, MY KINDA MUSIC broke the track record running 25.95.
It didn't last long as KNOCKA'S RETURN took another 100's off in the following heat, stopping the clock at 25.94.
In the FINAL (not to be out done), MY KINDA MUSIC won by 2 lengths and in the process, equalling last weeks t/rec set by KNOCKA'S RETURN....who wound up third, a nose behind 2nd place-getter AY GRADE.

There are a lot of tracks (oz) where the track records are not up to date (on this site). When the race is not entered as a track record, the sire, dam and dog do not get deserved recognition

I should correct my statement above. "Coin Of Phrase" did break the Track Record last night but it won't be recognized. WHY ???? Because 'Miner's Moss' ---> EXTERNAL LINK went 1/100 of a second quicker, 2 races earlier running 29.20......also in the Rocky Cup Heats.

In April this year, the greyhound MINERS MOSS won a heat of the Rockhampton Cup in 29.20, which was a track record. In the final of the Cup, Miners Moss also saluted running just 1/100's slower to prove that last weeks record, wasn't a fluke. This month that same greyhound Miners Moss won a heat of the LIGHTNING over 331m at Albion, & in the process broke the previous track record by .08, which was also set in last years LIGHTNING EVENT by Pink Jeanes running 18.80.
Why am I mentioning this ?
Well last night at Rockhampton, the greyhound COSMIC WATERS ---> CLICK HERE absolutely SMASHED that track record in the Best 8 Rockhampton Futurity which she won by 14 lengths. The time she ran was .26 quicker then MINERS MOSS, who is mentioned above and is obviously no slouch. 28.94 was the time Cosmic Waters recorded in the Futurity & in the process became the FIRST greyhound to break the 29 second barrier which is really unbelievable.
Congratulations to trainer Darren Taylor & all concern....Steve.
PS.......COSMIC WATERS now owns two Track Records at Rockhampton after she also broke the 407m record back in late July.
