All good mate. I do get confused. Thanks for thoughts. Might be a long battle this one. Bloody stage 3 bowel cancer in a kid. Throwing everything at it. Be well and good luck.

Gday Andrew

Wishing you all the best with your son!

If someone knows how to set up a fundraising account or if Tony can do it through this website lets all get behind Andrew and his Son to fight this, god knows his done plenty for many people in the greyhound game and I'm sure there's plenty that would love to contribute

Hi mark very generous but wishes and prayers all we need. We are lucky to have the people around us. The irony is I spent five years working with a professor lobbyist g the government to reduce the age of screening to help those who couldnt afford to have colonoscopies.

Anyway lets get back to dogs.all good.

Hope she is just as good For you.

Well done also to Lisa Davis with being my banjo. First starter from the ya welcome litter and also chased very hard to get through the field and win by five at Cranbourne.

Looking forward to seeing other first starters from new litters about to hit the track that I know are coming.

Pretty chuffed that my little girl out of banjo boy just broke the track record at Nowra over 630m.

Old boy now living a well deserved life on the couch. Happy dog. Looking forward to breeding with some of his quick daughters. Hope all well.

Hi simon. I really like Aussie but I dont like a double of Penske. A couple tried it with banjo boy for no result.

She will go to zambora Brockie. I really like bombastic back into the dam
Line. Has worked so well for the line in the past and I think it will work for her too.

Following similar thinking with showgirl queen. She will go to Fernando bale. Like black shiraz coming back in through primo uno.

Looking forward to breeding again been a loneg time. Probably theee years since I bred a litter opting to buy pups. Back to breeding with reasonably fast botches is exciting.

Congrats on the TRec! He keeps producing fast offspring and glad to hear Banjo Boy is enjoying his retirement! Are there still plenty of vials available?

Hi Darren - Yes Tony Wiseman has a few in reserve for those interested. It's good to see his daughters are throwing some fast pups too from early litters. One of the things he did do is throw some good chasing traits, all be it that they could be over the top, and I expect that to come through in his grandkids.

Cheers

Really good thought process but will only give you the result you are after if there is a similar intensity to Bombastic through different individuals contained in that sires pedigree preferably through one of his damlines. Just duplicating that sire(Bombastic) wont create that same intensity that it did with Ritza Hattie or Spring Gun for example. One reason is because Bombastic is 2 gens further back, that alone has to lessen the intensity.

The alternative is to recreate Bombastic's pedigree through different individuals that make up his pedigree at a very high percentage, which in turn creates vigour between those individuals and the damline as you've pointed out....iow the mating is 'tricking' the damline into believing another Bombastic is being created due to the very high amount of individuals present in a damline of the sire of your choice that are also present in Bombastics pedigree, and there's your breeding parallel to Bombastic.

g/l Andrew, whichever way you go & well done on the bitches TR.

Your thinking is quite sound as I said before Andrew, just like to make a couple of adjustments for the benefit of the line. For example if you want to use Zam I'd prefer something like this CLICK HERE for a few reasons:

(i) Brett Lee was quite influential with this line. Chloe Allen replicates Brett Lee's pedigree through different individuals at a very high 88% in the 5th gen (14/16 lines covered), CLICK HERE where Bro Fox, New Tears, Chariot Supreme and Dusty Rapid are cross duplicated if you chk the blood quota table below. Bowetzels sire Second Stage and dam Princess Diro are also contained in Chloe Allens pedigree. So Chloe Allen is reintroducing a breeding parallel of Brett Lee back to this damline. She is also doing the same with Bombastic CLICK HERE .

(ii) a 94% front page intensity between Light of Fire and Sobbing Sal CLICK HERE and 88% going the reverse way as explained in (i).

(iii) the reintroduction of an outcrossed sireline (Kelsos Fusileer) to this damline at a perfect time but also with the dam adding a very high intensity as well, as explained in (i), so as the next gen can be bred back into the line.

(iv) the introduction of Zambora Brockie to a well chosen daughter of El Rapido gives up that 100% Sobbing Sal intensity through bros Brett Lee & Trendy Leigh in the x path, however importantly 1 generation further back than you had intended. It's important to push those 100% intensities as further back as possible yet keep them within 5 or 6 gens. For example if you look at the top 15 offspring of Zam on data, there are no examples of Brett Lee as the grandams sire in the immediate damline as wld be if Zam was put over El Rapido, I think from memory. Your way may well work Andrew, but it cld be the difference between a pup breaking 30 at the Meadows or getting close to 29.60 - your way is a little riskier imo. It's much better than Brett Lee being the damsire though, so your thinking has definite merit. All I'm saying is why risk a line ball if it was to click?

(v) the obvious introduction of Fernando to upgrade the pedigree

(vi) there are other sires that give up Bombastic as a breeding parallel as I've explained above, another sire Whiskey Riot I've spotted I think gives up Bombastic through their immediate dam at a very high percentage and also gives up Brett Lee at a very high percentage through their sires dam Chloe Allen as previously explained, so you get both intensities in the one pedigree.....the last time I saw and did that resulted in a National Dist Championship winner. Of course no matter how well its put together and looks, these niches still have to click.

It's a ripper damline with many options, no doubt you'll consider them all. These points are just what I saw pretty much off the top of my head, so I haven't chk'd most of them out thoroughly, not really broken down the pedigree in any great depth x path, other intensities, etc., so these opinions may alter.....when I looked at her damline and saw the possibilities I just thought wow.

Forgot to say I have no affiliations with any dogs mentioned.
