Could someone explain the test mating I don't understand the figures.
I can't give the greyhounds names as I don't own the bitch but I was looking at a mating between a bitch whose grandfather is Brett Lee on the dams side and a stud dog whose father is Brett Lee. Would that be too close in breeding?

That would be a good balance of Brett lee with there positions in the pedigree and not to close IMO ,but you would need to know the rest of the breeding. I'm still learning about the percentages in the pedigree analysis but if you do dog search on some of our best racing greyhounds you may be able to see a pattern. There is also a good article on forum titled (an interesting read for line breeding buffs), we'll worth a read. All the best and merry Xmas.
