Anthony unlike any other American based Sire Manny just produced the very best race dogs for years and Its a testament to his ability when you see the Sons he has left who are now are at Stud ... Manny was a Sire who never had his bitches hand picked in the US like some and when you have a good look you see how great he upgraded so many dam lines and he was a BREED SHIFTER a Game CHANGING SIRE ....
In Australia it will be a totally different scenario because he has and will be getting some of Australia's very best broods so I cannot wait to see his sons here in OZ race .

I believe that I bought "Manny" soon after seeing "Kiowa Power Pak" school on. (mid 2008?) At the time, "Manny" had no pups at the tracks that I knew of. That in addition to having run "Manny" in the Flying Eagles/Miner kennel sealed the deal for me. I almost bought him during his racing days.
If you publish any of my comments, I'd be very grateful if you could include that I feel I contributed nothing to "Manny." The credit belongs entirely to Kay Smith for owning and raising him as a pup and to Vince Berland. While it's easy to go back many generations to thank the folks responsible for this bloodline or that bloodline-Vince's line of "Flying Penske and Flying Monica K" was the genius behind this wonderful greyhound.
Whatever I may have been or am in this business, dog owner, kennel owner, breeder, adoption advocate etc.- at the very heart of me is greyhound gambler. At best, I can take credit for handicapping "Manny's" success as a stud dog through understanding him as a racer, his bloodlines and truly understanding "Kiowa Power Pak's" first schooling races.
I'm grateful to Kevin Wright and Tony Cummins for importing vials of "Manny" to Australia and am anxious to see what impact he may have internationally. Domestically, I'm most proud of his accomplishments, as a stud, in regards to the fact that the larger operations didn't use him at all or at best, barely. It's incredible to think what he may have produced had he serviced the top females in the country and that's not a knock on the females that he did. He contributed to a lot of smaller operation's success whether you're a greyhound or a person, that's something to be proud of.

Sad to hear Kevin I know you put a lot of effort in putting these imports out there for us breeders in oz to breed from. I'm sure his pups are going to shine here in oz so good luck with remaining straws.
