I'd like some feedback on a bitch called Bandit Knocks? Would anyone consider breeding with her? Happy to hear both positive and negative comments. Kind regards, Deon

I would use a total inbred outcross sire with her and to breed with any bitch is a risk and it's something only you can decide to do with her .

Plenty of good dogs have come from average bitches and a lot of unraced bitches have produce some of our very best chasers ..

Rear them right and anything is possible .

Good Luck Deon

Unless you have inside knowledge that she was significantly better than her form suggests.....then no.
It's hard enough to get winners out of well performed bitches, let alone slow ones.

.....and try to ignore those who will point to the occasional exception where a lesser performed bitch has thrown on but the champion bitch has not.
They're called EXCEPTIONS for a reason.

No, too many negatives poor race form, a fighter as stated and a ordinary damline.

there is two threads going at the moment ,, one is miata , the best race bitch in recent times ,,

she wont produce, because she was a champion race bitch ,, not a breeder ,,

the other bitch mentioned done nothing on the track ,, but will probably produce better racers that miata

Well the trial tonite at Bulli Mick says Miata will throw actually all those pups trialled pretty good 26.6 and a little bit may see them head in the right direction hard run 472 at Bulli
Deon I wouldn't breed with the girl put her up on the lounge and let her be a pet going back thru Fast track it's hard to see how you could resurrect the Damline I am not being smart and I am not putting your girl down I do think though that to get winners would be a very tough ask and could be disapointing

look at the cost of buying a couple of well bred young pups v cost of breeding a litter yourself. Depending on your brood bitch, you may finish up selling any extra pups at a loss.

What is the total cost, from start to finish, to rear a litter to 15mths old?

Deon, I would never ever breed from a Slow Bitch let alone a Non Winner , Reason you have to Cover your Cost and be commercially viable people look @ the Dam side and if it is negative they will not Buy these pups , yes would sell them maybe @ $200.00 each

Deon, any breeding is a gamble as we know. Depends on what u want to do with the pups as they may not be very commercial. But have a look at Radley Bale as he should inject some speed, has a nice outcross and damline traces back to Gail's beauty same as your bitch. Gail's beauty was wheelers foundation bitch.

Deon there is so much opportunity for you out there that will be an absolute thrill and a pleasure to work with !! I've learnt the hard way ,if ain't right it just isn't right unfortunately! % wise that mating is so high risk and more then likely is going to be headache, expensive headache!like I said there is so much opportunity... Ring around mate and talk to trainers breeders and make a calculated judgment on who sounds genuine and see what they have to offer ,so many broodys that have come from high class dams are just sitting there that you won't find on sales, start fresh and start with positive enthusiasm, not a doubting or negative thought ,you'll know when it's right it'll hit you in the face and you'll look back and think wow glad I went that way. Be patient and don't settle for crap
My rules from past experiences
1.find someone who is trustworthy and respected,go and see them in person !
2.your potential brood must have dams with credentials/all her dams!! eg.grp creds or great soundness in offspring
3.you might have to trek or do some hard yards but the actual transaction and process should be easy and fun

As a whole mate it's this kind of breeding that is high risk that puts this sport under stress as there is more then likely going to be no success therefore unwanted greys,if everyone did it it would get very messy in today's climate ! We have a duty as a whole to do the best we can ,which means starting with the best you can find.
Not having a go at anyone or you deon just stating the truth ..
Get excited ...go find it bro ...she's out there waiting !!!

Good luck
