Gee , bit harsh on the boy , he won from the 5 box , not the 1 box ! he ran 5.00 to the mark crossing the likes of Zambora brockie , tripum , worm burner and Barton bale to cross to the fence first . Very very hard to do . If Mac didnt burn them early and Cross to the fence chopping them off on the inside . Does Jezza get across from the 8 ? I dont think so ! I dont normally get a rise out of these but look at macs form . It was his 13th weekend in a row of racing at the top level . He was that lame after the melb cup he needed a time off . He won two group 1s in his race career . From box 5 and box 6 . Think I or he hardly owes anyone a thing . If Jezza doesnt fight does he win ? Probably but Mac helped him get to where he got and fortunately Mac stayed focused and chased the lure 110% when the latter didnt .

Name me another champion dog trained in nsw that raced in Melbourne and beat the best they have in the last 10 years . Plenty of champs from nsw went to vic and failed . It is extremely hard to do and should be respected ?

I wasn't being critical of Andos mac. You're right he went to Victoria and won heat and final doing what a lot of dogs have tried and failed to do.

He did have a little bit of luck at the end of the race, but you're right he made his own luck to win the race and was the best chaser on the night. And yes he was dominant in his other Group 1 win.

I was slightly sceptical when he went to stud only because his sire El Grand Senor was hit and miss at stud, but on the results he's already produced in his pups if I was to breed a litter tomorrow ando would be in my top 5 sire options

Ando's Mac is the best chance to carry on Where's Pedro's sire legacy

He was a great race dog who race din the highest company and beat them, is beautifully bred, a hard chaser, a half brother to another champion and has already started his career with fast pups from 2 litters to race

His pedigree also nicks very well with a great variety of local and imported lines

I see Ando's Mac stud fee will be going up to $2200 in January, it doesn't surprise me with some of the hot pups he's got running around lately

Hey Branko - glad he is going well for you Luke.

Who are the latest hot pups - I would love to research the breeding and see what is working.

Cheers

Don't know how hot you want but this dog went 29.50 at Gosford last night and has gone 25.04 at Maitland

Dam by Soprano Drive who is by TNT Star Wars, found in Superior Panama

And a full USA damline in this litter

There may be some clues on how to breed Ando's Mac to retain his great early speed and to finish off a good 500m

I got our mechanic - how much talent has he got awesome advertisement for andos mac. Very happy for Luke and crew that he has come along.

Mac Ibrox another who goes well and looks too have a bright future as does Charlie gatts dog Mauritian fever. There are a few others too.

What I would say is that he has not had access to the elite bitches which always helps and has limited numbers.

Just working through it trying to see if there was something that seemed to work well Branko. I am trawling through FastTrack clicking on every dog and litter. Picking out the best performed ones to see.

I have scaled back and only have one brood bitch and only breed one litter a year. In fact only bred two litters in last four years

I'm very happy for Luke & crew too, the owner / trainer of Our Mechanic is rearing 2 pups for me, yes that's true mate unfortunately elite bitches are only put to certain sires & Mac is 1 of many stud dogs not getting elite bitches,
I've cut back on breeding too , I've only got 2 broodies , 1 isn't done racing yet by your boy Banjo Boy & the other bitch that
I'm looking to put to Mac is a 2 time Sandown Park winner out of the Fabregas Damline which would basically be replicating the Pindari Express mating imo
