Hi Matthew,

The litter between them won over 130 races - three of his brothers were multiple Grade AA winners and his sister was also a Grade A chaser. One of his brothers did run a flying 29.15 at Wheeling.

For those who have asked me about David Brasch's article in the Recorder regarding Kinda Cruel Red, Braschy has allowed me to replicate it here:

FROZEN semen is about to arrive in Australia for Bella Infrared's champion son Kinda Cruel Red.
He started 127 times for 62 wins and 38 placings and that sort of career record saw him selected in the 2016 All America team ... the top eight greyhounds in the US in that year.
Of those wins, more than 30 were in Grade AA at Wheeling Downs - one of the top two racetracks in the US.
He ran 29.01 the best of year at Wheeling and ran 29.15 at Palm Beach to top off his 2016 All American status. While those credentials are pretty tough to top, there is even more to come with Kinda Cruel Red.
His direct damline is that of famed broodbitch Representation - a Hall of Famer for her deeds at stud as is her own mother Lear Jet.
This is the direct female family of many All Americans, but significantly, and more importantly, the same family as hugely successful stud dog Kinloch Brae.
Champion Destini Fireball is also from this same female family.
It is extremely interesting that Kinda Cruel Red carries a cross of Flaregas in his damline and she is a sister to Oswald Cobblepot who just happens to be the sire of Kiowa Sweet Trey and as all Aussies will know, he is everywhere in pedigrees in Oz.
We all know the success of Bella Infrared in Australia through the deeds of that wonderful litter out of Ebby Miss which includes Aussie Infrared and Barking Bad etc.
Paul Wheeler used him with success to produce Group class galloper Demon Bale (out of a sister to Bekim Bale).
The success of Aussie Infrared and Barking Bad, who include a cross of Southern Champ (from the Wise Flyer female line) means bitches with Premier Fantasy (in-bred to the Wise Flyer family) and his son Fear Zafonic should also suit matings to Kinda Cruel Red.
Plenty of options for astute breeders to utilise when planning a mating to this outstanding sprinter.

Thinking of this mating

My only concern is his size. Magic Sprite has been recommended previously but size was an issue. Pity there wasn't a 35kg version of him!

Kinda Cruel Red now has two litters on the ground in the United States. One litter consists of seven healthy pups. The second litter includes my KCR pup a red male.

Monte Jacobs has bred Kinda Cruel Red to three of his outstanding females.

Barry Baldwin informed me a friend of his won a breeding from
Kinda Cruel Red at an auction recently.

George

When Kinda Cruel broke in at Palm Beach he would drive to the rail and punish the early speed with his strong late kick.Monte told me
the only way they could beat him at Palm Beach is if slower traffic
got in his way.

I have heard comments about KCR size- he held his line very well-
and was rarely knocked back - again please take a look at the physique of this greyhound

At Wheeling his early speed and his quick move to the rail made
him almost impossible to catch from behind.

George if possible please post the Daytona 550 ( Greyhound Championship) and view the splendid
battle between Oaks Maddy and Kinda Cruel Red. Seldom Told was a distant third.

Brett Lee was only 30.5

It's not the size of the dog in the fight(chase), its the fight(chase) in the dog that counts

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your insight as it helps Aussie breeders know more about the dog.

I'm keen to put a Kinloch Brae bitch I own to this dog. If he throws that speed and chase into his progeny he could be a real viable import option for us Aussies.

Good luck with em, Noelene!

Prue Bale, dam of Group 1 Rookie Rebel winner Dyna Dean and multiple city-winning female Dyna Chill, has just been mated to Kinda Cruel Red.

Thanks for the support from breeders. No vials left in Victoria.

Just had a look at that 2010 Derby Michael Barry put up on this thread on the 10/06/2018.

This video is the greatest ad for :

1) More space between dogs in boxes (next to no interference at the start)

2)The outside lure (dogs were well spaced round the bends & were all chasing well-The winner was able to get a clear run up the inside because they all had 2 ways to pass without interference -inside or outside-due to the dogs running in the centre of the track down the straight.
