Mal ...please read my first post...........this bitch went on to be a super mother to her litters born in a natural way......she killed her first pup......by C section......but put it all behind her with natural births. She was not a bad mother....just a confused one

yvonne i did read it and i also said THIS IS NOT NORMAL as i think you are fully aware. for everyone of your bitches case there would probably be 50 2 100 that arnt. like i said vets do this every day with no problems to mother or pups.

if the reason your bitch was confused was because of the way she was introduced to her pups
pups should be put on the bitch before she wakes up and a person she trusts should be with her as she wakes up to comfort her
and she should not be left alone with the pups until she starts cleaning and toileting them
Once that happens they are usually ok with the pups

As far as natural or implant if someone thinks that the bitch know that she is going to have pups when she is mated your dreaming all she knows is her hormones are letting her stand for the dog
