Thanks Ian,

If this dog continues to get the numbers..... we are hopeing he throws his temperment into his pups....and if he does, breeders will have some very exciting racing stock !!

I saw this dog early days when he was in Sydney with his previous trainer and I can assure everyone that he was a machine! He had some "freakish" trial times for a young dog and we will be using him, without doubt. Best of luck with him, Terry.

In all seriousness,'freakish' trial times means he was seriously fast-one out.Now except for the odd Capalaba 'Time Trial' race we have up here worth a few hundred or so to the fastest dog I dont see many one dog races around.I would aslo question the add for him in the Queensland Journal as it promotes him as having 5 records but they are only trial times (from the boxes,in front off the boxes, first split on a straight track etc, etc) surely if you are promoting a stud dog it would be his deeds on the RACEtrack and not his trials at home as fast as they where.I probably sound harsh and would love to own one as good as him one day but IMO he isnt promoted well at all.Good luck with him at stud, hope he throws many good ones anyway.

I too think the GMF has the makings of being a good sire, and i was keen on using him myself but was told he was going to start at $440 not $880. I think you are right ROB he shouldnt be promoted as a dog that ran fast times down his own straight as it doesnt give him any credit as a sire. He did enough on the track to get some fair bitches and that imo is the way TERRY should promote him. just his win over COOL EFFORT in VIC was enough to say he could produce as no one was beating CE from behind at the time. But in saying that i will wait and see now that hes twice the price i was told he would be, and if i miss the boat then im sure there will be another sire come along as they always do.

Mel, The dogs web site shows his races and speed for all to see...were the straight track and ptp is no where to be seen...Hence the ad for the locals in this months Journal.

You of all people no just how quick that ptp is at Albion and at Tower lodge after all your trial there.... it is a public staight track.

There was ever only one conversation with stud fee $440 frozen and $880 for a Natural serve or A/I.
local bitches get the full ejaculate and are served twice. we think thats great value...thats our opinion.

Next time you go to the vet (Greg Sternbergs) quizz him on GMF sperm count....he states he has not seen a better count from a dog.
taking a look at the dog, his clangers are like golf balls... he was not on Hormone (Vet can also confirm !!) (He chased all the time) genuine dogs dont need a lift.

Mel take a closer look at GMF's pedigree on both sides
He boasts the best Sire Line at present..in Brett Lee
His Dam line... Dolls Me Mum, Token Prince x Alarming Girl.
Alarming girls sire line has an outcross in Barneys Alarm,
her dam line is the gravel rash line.

The direct dam D.m.m has produced 28 offspring resulted in 210 winners thats 7.5 wins per pup.....she's produced group winners and G/performers and many city wins in fast times and heaps of tab wins........You could not ask much more from a dam line !!

So is he Value..we think so.... if u dont so be it.

Lastly...as for some fair bitches going to GMF....
Do u class Ellie's Diamond as a fair bitch, she only won 115 k in stakes.....another bitch thats just been served, she's produced a ballarat cup winner.....i guess she is fair bitch as well...??

Terry im in no way having a go at you, i have already stated he has the makings of being a good sire, and i also stated he will get his chance to prove it with some of the bitches he has already had. I just think that stating wat he runs down your straight is under selling the dog a bit as you should focus more on wat hes done on race tracks. there are a lot of dogs that run fast times that start there career at free service that have even broken track records. i had a lot of time for him on the race track and told NIGEL i was keen to put a bitch to him at the $440 but as i see it there is no longer a hurry to go to him at $880, can you see where im coming from TERRY. theres alot of well performed sires that are currently at that price, and i have been offered free services to a couple of my bitches to a few of them, and by putting a proven bitch to a sire just starting out is only promoting the dog as the bitch has already made her mark.... but its your dog you do with it wat you think is right, and i for one hope it makes the grade as it opens up alot of breeding options.

P.S.... Terry there is no point telling me the make up of your dog as i have looked into his breeding quite a few times. the significance of gravel rash in her direct bitch line is not what interest me as much as the BL/TP cross. GRAVEL RASH has only ever produced one stud through its bitchline and that was BILLY BINJANG and although you carry his sister it will still be mystery weather his sister can throw a good stud dog........ YOU of all people should know this as WA has one of the best bitchlines in aust and has thrown numerous SIRES that didnt go on with it, but her bitchline still keeps throwing great dogs.

Terry, all sires should have discounted frozen. A good move on your behalf. I was at Gregs one day and he had some of your boys semen up, very good quality and about 5 straws all up i recall.
He should throw some nice pups.

When i took my bitch up to greg he had great wraps on him an his Sperm count.. there is alot of good stud dogs out there.. but they all have there faults somewhere in the bloodline, race history.. Give Me Five has the best 4 generation ive seen in a dog. he might not be proven just YET but there huge chances of him being a outstanding sire..

(The direct dam D.m.m has produced 28 offspring resulted in 210 winners thats 7.5 wins per pup.....she's produced group winners and G/performers and many city wins in fast times and heaps of tab wins)

That says it all.. Brett lee / Doll's Me Mum / Token Prince / Barneys Alarm.

I remember being there when he was his heat of the brisbane cup. when he won in 29.90 i think off the top of my head.everyone that was there on the night was blown away.. by how fast he is.. that night the track was fast.. but i tell ya what he was outstanding.!

Good luck with him at stud Terry. an well talk soon. :D

Why would one want to do that ??

The advertising in tab form ,recorder and qld journal are the same size as ads as give me five.

You of all people..should be happy u used whisky...Ushquebaugh is with out doubt the best performed runner from your brood bitch.
prize Money levels, and being able to run 500 and run time.

Lets be honest..your brett lee litter are tab class at best.
hope your not classing 31 seconds odd at albion as city class.
o/yer one of you bls' did make a tweed galaxy....sprinters with no heart ant worth much...

Whisky no's all about the above statment...many sprinters went to him hoping to get strength....wrong..the majorty are still sprinters ....hence whisky's figures for city wins are average

But as a strike rate goes, He has the 5th best A/wide 15.65% from the top 15 sires, so far this year 675 wins 596, 2nds, 577 3ds, only 92 litters racing

Last night Assassins Journey won the $8000 Bull in Barley final at wenty pk she come off the pace to win.
Your dog put in a huge run to get third in the Group 3 Young Star Classic...last night and he was an unlucky runner checked at the wrong time.

Have i given up on WA... theres another 60 odd litters to come YET!!...........By the way he's serving a bitch as we speak !!

No you are very right, the Brett Lee litter have trouble running out a strong 500, but there's still hope yet. I blame myself for using the speedy and small BL over the speedy and small DD. But it was acase of use it or lose it at that stage.

You are right, we are very happy with our Whisky Assassin Litter. Like I told you months ago, the entire litter have heaps of ability. I reckon they could be one of WA's best litters by the end of the year. Big call I know but, I know how good they are.
