Terry, here is the other thread CLICK HERE
Either way, advertising is advertising, it often comes with mistakes. But it doesn't mean the product isn't good.

Headbound is really producing some very good race dogs

Their is no doubt that headbound is the best performing sire in Ireland and the stats don't lie. In the last couple of days alone saturday night 'holburn show' runs the fastest time of the night in 28.82 in drunbo park. Limerick 'boskil boy' runs the fastest time for the 550 in 29.96. Shelbourne 'lady glenard' wins. Cork 'lenas maggie' win over the 750 and 'ferdia bound' wins over and 'beanos ash was only beaten a head over the 750. Then 'bar blackstone' shows why he is the hottest young dog in the country going through the stake undefeated and winning in a brilliant 29.62. Sunday night headbound had 3 runners in the stake in clonmel. 'lischane jumbo won ina brilliant 28.61;compass mikey won in 28.77 and blossem hill jen won in28 .91the three fastest times of the night

He's standing at Over-rated Lodge.

And he's over-priced.

his 1350 definitely overpriced here seen as i bought a bitch off him at 3 months from top damline for 300 lately thats 5 bitches to break even he would be 1 of the top sires here if they left his price reasonable and stopped putting it up every time he has a winner

Well, if you want to spend less you have HOTSHOW BEN - who still has an even better percentage....

THINK HE LL BE A TREMENDOUS sire but will never be top NO 1 because hell never have the numbers cause his pricing is ridiculous in current market the shrewds would have priced him better for a number of years to saturate the market as say what is happening with kinloch brae and what worked with crash, maldini, and hawk whom are all still cheaper having arguably produced better top dogs cause they got huge numbers knowing the more on the ground you have the better chance you have i mean to go from 600 to 1350 because of 5 or 6 good dogs amazing stuff in todays market the way pup prices have plummeted can you seriously believe that a year ago you would see pups out of a dam like this have to be advertised

Just out of curoisty what has Headbound thrown in Australia to warrant a price rise from $2200 to $3300 have missed out some young and upcomer I know he is not the sire of El Galo and his sire is $3300 or is the demand out weighing the supply

Guten abent Tomas,

HB should be around 200 - 300 Euro.

He's 9 years old, hasn't produced much and this thread is purely designed to create a myth of success to Australian breeders.

HB has done very little and is old and past it.

Terry,

you must love to take extreme views...:-)))

This is not exactly nothing: EXTERNAL LINK

If you like it or not, he is priced about right, his brother HOTSHOW BEN being a pure bargain..

regards, Tomas

Good stud dog but Fee is too high.... especially in this economic climate... many top horse studs are all reducing their fees.

But his breeding should still be enough to entice some breeders.
