| The dog is a victim of extremely poor marketing. Whilst having starting his career in Ireland with good results it was suicide to increase his fee from $2200 to $3300 before a pup had even hit the track here. Excluding Brett Lee, Bombastic Shiraz at $4400 has the highest stud fee in Oz but his increase from $3300 has been earned and only recent. This ranks him equal with sires Where's Pedro and Hallucinate, both proven sires with sons also now standing proving their popularity. There is no shortage of HH and SS here in OZ, as previously stated. Whilst I certainly would use him I cannot justify the $3300 plus implant.

| headbound finished the year as the number one living sire in Ireland - amazing achievement considering he has much less pups on the ground than most of the popular sires.

| Fair dinkum Jim, they must be kidding themselves. 1) He's 9 yrs old, 2) Hasn't sired anything in Oz. 3) He never raced 4) Head Honcho has better sons at stud 5) Sobbing Sal has better sons at stud 6) He's promoted as an Irish dog, but has 100% Oz blood. 7) He's ridiculously priced 8) By the time that Oz breeders realise that he's no good, he'll be dead. Should I go on?

| I know Jim, We've all heard the "He was gunna be a champ" story. He's over-priced by $3,300. james simpson wrote:

A few questions for you Michael - 1) when does "the year" finish in Ireland? - it's only November in Australia. 2) Number one living sire by what criteria? Prizemoney? Number of wins? Number of open wins? As far as Greyhound Data ratings go he is no way Ireland's number 1 living sire so far in 2009 CLICK HERE So please advise how we are to interpret your statement in a way that we can understand its correct meaning?

Tom The only thing No.1 about him is that his stud fee should start with a '1'
