Well done to connections, the future looks very bright for this novice. Sometimes I wonder how popular Windy would have been at this stage of the game if his fist batch of semen had been handled correctly. Thankfully his second batch is being handled by true professionals. The very best of luck to all those in use Windy Millar in the future.

Ron, In Australia we are very spoilt for quality sires and I have no doubt if not for the "first batch misshap" Windy Millar would have strived ahead. With the winners getting up with what he now has on the ground and more coming through I can only see him becoming a popular sire.....

Cheers.

Hi Ron and rich the first batch of windys vials I sent to OZ was not the fault of anyone in OZ I can't say any more because of ongoing things.
But you are both right it has put windy Millar back 2 years in the stud game in OZ.John Tuohy and sandown clinic have been very professional in the way they have handled things and all seems to be well by the amount of pups that windy is producing.I know that there are a lot of top class sires in OZ and breeders have a great selection to choose from but I am confident my fella will shine through he is producing quality pups that are winning races that is all he can do I am very confident that with windys performance on the track and his dam line which is top class the dog will go on to big things I would personally like to thank breeders who have shown faith and invested in windy Millar.
Regards
Jim

Repeat mating took place this week Windy Millar x Hawkes Duchess.
I wish you well Jim And Richard the 1st litter of 9 turned out fantastic and it must be a dream come true to be able to go top class open racing and enter top completions with six or seven out of the same litter
Best of luck

Many thanks for your good wishes Dave , I haven't been to well lately but hopefully I'm on the mend, you know better than anyone with your many years in the game how tough it is mate but I'm a big believer that the cream rises to the top.
I dint know your thoughts lately on you winding down on your breeding but if you do it will be a massive loss to British Breeding , you are very well respected by many me included I wish you well Dave.

I hope your back to full fitness soon Jim, thats more important than any other thing, if you put the effort in you generally get rewards or at least you can sit back and say " I dont the very best I could do " , that too me is all you can do in life and is exactly how I have went about things, because of that I am getting out completely, just had my Final Litter and to be honest I feel I am getting out at exactly the right time as I am fastly growing out of love with the sport which is sad... Many thanks for the very kind words they are much appreciated, Stick in and heres hoping you get that DErby Dog.

Hey guys, my windy bitch has had 2 starts for a 3rd on debut then a 7 1/4 domination over 303m @ Potts Park

She is a very good kennel bitch and first look & The Gardens Monday night trialled 23.1

She is in on Saturday awkwardly drawn but the one thing I have noticed about the Windy line is they are realisable honest chasers

Best of luck with "Belle Soeur" on Saturday Ryan. It does seem a common theme from all the "Windy Millar" pups regarding the amount of chase they have, they all seem mad keen and watching most replays they seem to have a huge mid race burst and I am yet to see one that is on the lure get run down.
Cheers
Rich
