Blue Lorian should be winning the GOTY - performed all over Aus in Group Races will good success

What ever happened to the day when we used to have 6 or 7 nominations for the GOTY and they were all worthy of a spot ???

We have retired Lochinvar Marlow after his G3 Christmas Gift win on Saturday night. Most people are aware he tore a hip at The Meadows in The Top Gun, Robert repaired it quickly with the Christmas Gift & Gosford Gold Cup in mind however he pulled up sore in the hip Saturday night and would need to have 4 weeks off. We decided that the dog has earned the right to retire to stud, last Saturday nights win was all about the dog and his future, so we would be greedy to look at any other decision. There are only 4 open age Group races at W.P. in the year, The Easter Egg, Paws of Thunder, Winter Stakes and Christmas Gift, all the other Group race
are age restricted, Lochinvar Marlow won 2 of them. We are also hopeful he will be a finalist in the NSW greyhound of the year.

His sire (Bombastic Shiraz) is the leading sire of Group winners in 2010 Australia wide and his dam (Sensation Lee) is either No 1 or 2 leading brood bitch of Group winners Australia wide in 2010.

Sensation Lee won 29 races inc 4 track records, 2 of he litter brothers were Group performers in Brilliant Lee and Leefull. The only other pup in Marlows litter was Lochinvar Vogue who won the Group 2 Sydney Cup (and over $100k).In the next litter of only 4 to Primo Uno, 2 have raced to date including Determined Lee W.P
winner and Uno Kendra Group 2 winner.

Marlow will stand at Rocky Ridge Farm and will be available from mid January.

Beautifully bred and showed he was a really classy dog. Truly deserves a stud career and standing him with Sam is a great start.

Would they be tougher or more gutsy than than the I'm Blessed

Paul it is hard to compare different lines against each other as they all have their good and bad points.
