That's nice breeding. What are their traits like Mick? And has he thrown size to your pups? He is definitely worth investing in if he doesn't throw hypo's

he has thrown a track record dog so he must be doing something right..from 12 offspring here 3 have run in group 2's, be that from the same litter.

lets hope so as I do have some VMV pups that im hoping will go well, mine are only young though, 6 weeks however there are some good sized ones in there, stocky.

hi glenn

dogs are 33/34 kgs if anything on the big side at this stage , 2 bitches shorter and to the stocky side , but super keen ,
top entity her self is short and stocky , we sold one dog a couple of weeks ago and the guy is over the moon with its size and how keen it is

as pups to rear they have been some of our best sensibile dont bark all the time and dont race around like idiots, but our pups are handled and walked on leads from 8 weeks old so they tend to be on the quiet side most of the time , but i think the mum needs to have the right temperment too

we usually start in the bullring at 6 months its fun for them then, at eight months we like to see them take an interest, at 10 months we want them doing it 90% then at 12 months prior to breaking we expect them to put it all together , these eight month olds have it all together now , we are very impressed, they put to shame some of the 12 month old ones we were doing with them this morning , lol

You would hope with the early toe in your litter's pedigree that you will at worst get some blistering box dogs Michael, good luck with them.

Thanks for info Mick

With that routine you are sure to get that champion sooner than later. If you are ever selling pups please keep me posted

0404238147

I have the utmost respect for people like you that cut zero corners

glenn we dont often sell pups , funny story about this pup we sold , only reason my wife took a dislike to him because her bit his sister , her favourite pup lol

so i guess the buyer was there at the right time , because he came to buy a magambo pup 12 months old lol
both pups left here with a guarntee of his money back if they dont win races , (bar injury of course )

at $2500 for an eight month old pup from a proven bitch is i thought good value , , and anyone paying more than $2500 for three month old pups must have more money than sence , or money they didnt work for lol

glenn even doing and giving the best , there is disapointments , but what maureen and i didnt realize at the start was the importance of a good trainer , i mean a trainer who can accomadate your type of dog , we all know if we got a brett lee we fine for a trainer ,

we bred the first litter of flying penskes in australia , they were being run over 400 meters , we were told these dogs are no good ,

makes you wonder who was no good the trainer or the dogs , we all know now what penske dogs do and its not over 400 , but thats water under the bridge now ,

ill save ya number glenn,

Mick

It's a long road & a lot of money to realise no one does the job as good as yourself. A good honest tester (I've found 3), a good honest trainer...I'm still searching

VMV has what I'd call a very 'versatile' pedigree, and it's great that after his first litter hit the track that he seems to really have gained much broader 'acceptance' among breeders.

I think Mick has used him to advantage, & I'd be surprised and disappointed if that litter didn't produce a few decent racers.

I have a service ready and waiting for a suitable brood to come on. I really hope his next few litters to race further 'prove' him, as his first few suggested he might prove a very useful sire.

Anthony

The first few good ones were trained by a few that know their stuff so I wasnt overly convinced.... But lately hearing more & more on the grapevine of a few good ones & so my interest in micks pups.

Proven I agree with, getting hands on knowledge though is even better

Hi Mick,

we have been getting told the same thing by others.

Our oldest Vee Man pups are 7 months old, we are very pleased with them...

just a follow up to this post, these pups had their fist track experience yesterday, 150m behind the lure up the grass straight track into the pen , nothing short of brilliant (the best we have ever had at this age)

so this little part of their education is finished kenneled/bullring/straight track, 7 days in all, (checked by the musule man )

they now return to their runs, with daily excess to their paddock,
they will stay there with no futher work till they are 10 months old , then the same procedure again,

ps thanks for the update richie

Hi Richie,
Do you have an email address? Would like to ask you a couple of questions about VMV.
Cheers,
Donna
