What a gun sire. His price tag prob stops a lot of people using him but well worth it.
We have 2 litters by him 1 is 12 months old we couldn't be happier and the others are about 6 weeks old.

Sorry, slightly off topic but would anyone know if there is a close double of FORTRESS in any current sire? GD says there isn't. Kinloch has one. BTW, not knocking Kinloch... He's the real deal.

Has anyone else noticed a massive resurgence of Kinloch Brae off spring winning recently ? And some rather smart ones too
Yes I have noticed , they are a beautiful breed I like how they Chase all day but have also have a smart temperament about them and also being very durable ! What more could you ask for ? It's his second and final wave coming through mick and there is surely going to be some beauties!

Yes Mick and for me the explanation is simple. One thing that is important for sires is opportunity based on numbers. In other words having numbers of pups coming through has a direct correlation to the number of good pips a site can produce. There are of course other things but numbers is the starting point.
Kinloch brae only served 35 bitches in 2015 Australia and New Zealand. A very small number of bitches. This means that there only a small number of new progeny coming through in 2017 and even the early part of this year.
In 2016 with popularity of Kinloch going up at the time with some quality pups racing he served 65 bitches. A big increase. Thats why you are seeing more kinlochs now coming through. Remember 65 of a reduced total Number of Litters too. I am not sure what all the figures are for all the sires in 2015 and 2016 is but it is very interesting and this does tell a story.
In the first half, to June, of 2017 I think he has served around another 40 bitches. So expect them to keep coming.
I might go through the exact numbers of a few sites during these periods later and post them. It is very interesting.
For Kinloch he always got some high quality bitches. It was purely a numbers game FYI he has served over 500 bitches over his stud career in aus/Nz.
I actually just bought a litter of kinlochs, less one pup the breeder wanted to keep.

Like all sires, when they get numbers and runners they get noticed
This year there will be less Fernando's than last year as in 2016/17 season, he has only 49 litters, whereas will be more Fabregas & Kinloch Brae as they have 80 litters each
The daddy of them all is Barcia Bale with 164 litters, he dominates in numbers by at least 2 to 1 over every other sire
However, what is most important is the percentage of pups they get to the track and how many of those win races for their connections
