I buggered up the heading but, has there been examples of a inport sire covering a outcrossed bitch?

If you listen to the So called experts they will tell you the 75%x 25% blood is the way to go.Most of the examples given show this.

That's exactly what I keep hearing jack and because of this I believe that people stick to this theory and was hopeing to find examples of dogs that gave been breed with either a half cross sire to half cross bitch or full inport sire to half cross bitch.

Let's say hypothetically that the Europeans best dogs came here to race that carried the 75% 25% cross to there own country and raced here and without getting into the who's best argument I believe they would compete at least the same level and the same said for our 75% 25% crossed dogs racing there?

So if this theory was to be correct than ideally we should be able to breed a 1/2 Irish 1/2 Australian dog or 75% Irish 25% Australia dog and not at all think of it as weakening a line or decreasing a pups ability?

Correct or not???

I should add that I know theres thousands of half crosses but it's the next cross to another inport I was curious about.

It possibly dosnt cross peoples minds or they follow the masses and follow suet back to there dan line or at least Aussie.

Maybe breeding back to your own country is baloney?
Times are changing possibly.

I just noticed that it's probaly the wrong dog with the same name..

I can hear that train a coming !! Toot toot.

It seems to be popping up a lot this last week, maybe it's time to breed to compliment a bitchs weakness and take into account useing s suitable dog rather than hearing in the other ear " your've gone your outcross now come back to Aussie blood ' ???

I've never been 100% sold on the idea and I don't think that it's a nick, theory of sorts but it couldn't be seen as a negative either as I do believe in breeding back to a bitchs dam line and I see that wheeler is doing it.

I'm not saying if that he's doing it, it has to be right but his dogs are the examples I see it working in so 2 + 2 = 4 sometimes :)

I'm theory is pinned on my bitch ( can she produce ) ?
No breeding is any good if the mothers crap but two crosses of BL on the third line and the two crosses of Flashy Sir whos by the great American champ Sand Man.

Her litter mates could run in feature races and win over 600m + and Ahsne Lad's mother is a full sister to Premier County and add Larkhill Jo and Spiral Nikita up close I think compliments the two crosses of Brett lee.

I'm hopeing my thoughts can become winning ones but I don't get excited till the past the post first but the Surf Lorians have given me faith in my bitch.

I'm looking forward to this litter.

What about outcrossing and then doubling back on the sires origins rather then the dams line. Would love to see examples.

Id like to do this Simon if someone can do the click thing as Im working from iPad. Anthony gave me an idea in his early post and have always liked Boherna on air and even thought about buying a pup of Anthony when he lived down this way. Anyway the dam is a virtual dam as they havent been named yet. The sire of the dam is Paddy Whacker and the dam of the dam is full of fancy. The sire mated too the virtual dam would be of course Boherna on air. Hope that makes sense. Cheers.

Looks good, but as people outcross and then come back to the Aussie sires but rather look to duplicate something in the original outcross. I pretty sure it's being done but I'll be back on later to find one to put up.
