I found this somewhere
R IODINE: Old Timer's R-IODINE is a mild non-blistering counter-irritant and analgesic liniment for the treatment of soreness associated with muscle stiffness (particularly after exercise), tendons, and ligament sprains, bones, joints, including sore shins, and other conditions requiring warmth. The active ingredients, iodine and oil of wintergreen, increase the blood flow to the inflamed area and provide a 'warming' analgesic effect as well as promoting tissue repair. DO NOT apply to broken skin or open wounds. Withholding Periods: Meat - nil. Presentation: Liquid: 500ml
IODISED OIL: M.R Iodised Oil is a mild, non-blistering counter-irritant and analgesic liniment. The active ingredients, iodine and oil of wintergreen (an anti-inflammatory agent), increase the blood flow to inflamed areas, providing a warming analgesic effect as well as promoting tissue repair.
Cian has it in his van, he's in Clonmel every Thursday and Sunday.

Hi Dave. If ya can't get ya hands on the Iodised Oil then find this stuff at good chemist outlet. Its as cheap as chips , the brand I use is : GOLD CROSS & is the main ingredient in Iodised Oil called : METHYL SALYLCATE concentrate. Mix it at 50mls with 500mls of Metho Spirits in a spray bottle & spray the K9's sore spots with it & massage/rub in well 2 the affected muscle areas 3-4 times a day until K9 is A.O.K. This "recipe" works A1 every time 4 me. Another el cheapo "fix" 2 draw out any swelling from muscle injury sites is just warm brown vinegar put on area & massage/rub in/out twice a day. Great old timers remedy I learnt from a MASTER K9 muscleman that shall remain nameless cos I don't like 2 "name drop". Ha Ha Ha. Best Wishes m8
