Welcome to the forum Aftab, best feeds would be Gain and redmills. I personaly use redmills racer plus. If you type into search box you will find a lot of theads on feeding greyhounds.
As for training my best advise for you would be to find a local trainner and ask him for advise, maybe even offer to help around the kennels. That way you will get the hands on experence you will need.
Good luck
Dean

Aftab, Salaam. What you ask is all a matter of opinion, here is mine. There's no difference really in training and feeding a sprinter as to any other type of dog. You feed the best and train to get the dog fit by walking and galloping. I cook-up every day in a slow cooker, all kinds of vegetables, with half kilo of meat per dog. The cheapest good quality red meat in U.K. is Ox-heart but I always alternate with liver and chicken. When I dish-up I add Australian Formula if its Chicken and Gain20 if its red meat. Then I add a handful of beef mince. I try to keep the meal interesting by using gravy powder and keep my eye open for other meats which may be in the cheap section of the supermarket. Do this and you'll always have cleaned-out bowls. For breakfast each dog gets one cereal biscuit and three cups of whole milk and ensure that there is always fresh water in the kennel. With regard to training you need to gallop a couple of times a week, that's free galloping, not behind a lure and you need to walk him, this helps to keep the dog interested in life, even if you live in the city take him to the parks and down by the canal so he can see wild life, and smell where they have been. A sprinter shouldn't be worked as hard as a non-sprinter and see if you can get him interested in chasing a ball, by throwing the ball for him to bring back to you, he's doing short repetative sprints. Don't let him exercise on race-days.

Eamonn, I once had a case of red-eye which the Vet told me was caused by too much protein in the diet so as red meat contains more protein than chicken I dont use red meat and Australian together, at one time I used only Redmills Purebread with red meat but I use Gain twenty now and it works okay for me.

Aftab. You have just asked 2 questions that many fine trainers could write a book about m8 ! If you have never trained many k9's , my advice would do 2-3yrs "apprenticeship" of preparing race k9's under the guidance of a reputable trainer with results that speak for themselves.after you have gained a bit of knowledge go out on your own & give it a try for yourself & have a crack at it !
