Jack,

Glad to read the report. Hope she bounds around very soon. Keep following the caring advice on this thread.

Elsie.

Thanks Elsie but although the blisters have healed well she has lost alot of muscle mass very quickly in the last few days. Her immune system was obviously down and she had 2 hard runs the last 2 weekends before -the last resulting in a shoulder/neck injury but although she is eating well and seems fine in herself the muscle loss has been very noticeable and quick. Any ideas/advice appreciated. Thanks.

Acidosis will result in quick muscle loss, Jack. Has this been investigated ?

Didn't show any signs of acidosis after last race Carole, it's 16 days since she last ran and the muscle loss has only been noticed in the last 5-6 days. I will have her looked at again on thurs by vet. Would it hurt to give her some recharge till then?

NO, no no, Jack. Get yourself some Vytrate or Aminoforte.
