Just read on a packet of human antibiotics. Do not take dairy, calcium or iron supplements within 2 hours of taking antibiotics.

I've never heard of this before.
Can anyone explain? Would it be the same for dogs?

Probably not......but they definitely shouldn't operate heavy machinery, drink alcohol or drive a car! Hehehehe

Yes it would , for that particular anti biotic not antibiotics in general . Calcium and iron interfere with the action of the anti biotic making it lest effective . The 2 hours is to give the antibiotic time to be absorbed into the blood stream .
