Hi I have owned a couple of Greyhounds previously but always had them with trainers throughout the whole process. I have decided to give it a go at rearing and training for the first time. I live at Budgewoi on the Central Coast and was wondering if anyone could help me out with sourcing good quality foods for the dog as well as a good vet that deals with greyhounds.I am going to use Hills Science Diet Puppy and I have read a couple of threads and debates about dry food and this is just something I have chosen to go with as it is only for the one pup so it isn't a massive issue cost wise for me. I want to get good quality mice (Chicken and Beef) and wanted to no where people where sourcing there products around Budgewoi. I also wanted any info on a good quality Greyhound Vet as well if possible as I have only found general vets in the area and none of them seem to specialise in the breed. I am also going to be rearing in a suburban home so exercise will be walking and we also have a beach close by for dogs so to avoid a lot of issues we would be hitting the beach at around 530am in the morning so he can have a gallop and we also have a bush track up the road but I am worried about ticks. Does anyone have any good areas to free gallop the dogs and pups. I have read a couple of threads on this subject in regards to rearing and I have a basic diet in mind but any hints or tips would be much appreciated. The pup I am getting is from a litter Banjo Boy X Buxton Miss and he is only about 18-20 weeks old when I get him here (from memory. Thanks in advance everyone your help will be a massive help.
