Limited knowledge but I would say they are very good. interested in how long since last run and what additives were given in the twelve hours prior to the reading. could make a diff. to the higher than average readings shown.

Joe personally I would be happy with the blood count. I may have missed something. I personally would not change her food. If the person telling you to cut back on the beef and they are winning top grade races I would CONSIDER IT. If not I would stick with what you are doing

Have a read of this
EXTERNAL LINK Personally id be worried that her blood is to thick and she may be dehydrated especially if she hasn't had a run for a week. I'm far from an expert but to me the Wbc is creeping up and starting to go out of whack which may indicate a low grade bacterial infection.

Joe I would say the Hemoglobin and Hematocrit are too high the HCT needs to be between 59 and 61 or so and the Hemoglobin should be between 20 and 21 anything over these levels is a sign of severe dehydration and you should be able to get it down by resting the dog and giving it electrolytes, dont gallop the dog with those readings otherwise he will get too hot
what did your vet say?

Joe what electrolyte supplement are you using. Me thinks I all ready Know. But will still ask.i find it interesting with some of the results your vet did not continue and do a bio chemistry profile. be very careful of giving a dehydrated dog more electrolytes that may have caused this situation.

Jack I thought the same thing but Joe said he was only feeding one product which is heavy with blood builders. Without a bio profile and the fact the dog hasn't run for over a week and assuming the vet would have at least done a skin test to show any obvious dehydration I feel you would be best assuming it wasn't than treating on suspicion . Best to get the vets opinion because at least he is hands on

Joe there is another thread about this product ,I would not give this till your dog is right then only give 5ml twice a week not the 50ml per day. Wtf IMHO here lies your problem.

Joe, I agree with Jack about the "tonic" you are using. However, it looks like she has an infection, as her white cells are higher than usual, and her neutrophils are at the upper limit of normal. You can get apparent dehydration with an infection. I have seen this many times with the blood tests we have done over the years. Get your vet, or you, to have a really good look at her tonsils and throat, as an infection here will affect the way she finishes off her runs. As Jack said, getting the biochemistry tests done may also show up some other problem, if it's not her tonsils. I wouldn't be cutting her meat down, either.
