Has anyone seen any reaction from the rabies vacinnation or microchip?

I was talking to an English owner London based during the week. He buys 15-20 dogs a year from Ireland. He tells me that dogs coming over with the rabies inoculation are basically running as though they were stopped for up to ten weeks.
As for microchips a man I buy of in Tipperary has a dog out of action having had to have a chip removed from the vicinity of the dogs ear. It had migrated from his neck. Dog won't run for about 3 months.

thank you Seamus for your reply. 4 weeks ago I had two dogs vaccinated and micro chipped, 24 hours later both dogs were off-colour. 48 hours later one of the dogs was dead in the kennels. The other recovered and he seems ok now?

I'm in Sri Lanka. a friend here had his two dogs vac'd for Rabies, one has died and the other has gone blind in one eye!
So just shows you can get bad batches.

That's awful !!!! To think a dog can die from getting a rabies vaccination and as to the chip wandering, I had a bitch who was in serious pain because of a misplaced chip between her shoulderblades.

It is still a disgrace that they don't have developed a microchip what doesn't migrate.
