I was lucky enough to watch Amerigo Magic win the Anniversary Cup up the straight at Appin...he had a huge motor.
Raad broke the track record the week prior in the heats...and looked to have the final on a plate 50m out,...when Amerigo Magic absolutely hit top gear and went straight past Raad to win easily. Raad was as good a straight track dog there ever was and Amerigo Magic made him look second-rate that day!
Of course Amerigo Magic was a full blood relation of G1 dog Railway Road...so his ability was no fluke! Nor it coincidence that Rapid Journey is from an outcrossed brood...to balance Amerigo Magic being inbred.

Grizzly Bear won the St Leger at 25/1 from memory? But, was a decent dog. Little Blade also sired a brilliant dog in Hidden Blade!
Little Blade also sired a FREAK in Brother Fox !!!!!!

I know I watched him live plenty of times! Still the best Ive seen!! He was mentioned as potentially the only good one of Little Blades... why I mentioned Hidden Blade. He was a top dog too!

Little Blade, brilliant sire. Bred him to a Gliders Son bitch, got Wyong ( long) and Appin (short) records. Bistoury Blade. Feb 1986 Won on ten different tracks, Wentworth Park and Lithgow included. Little Blade was an extremely good sire.

Not including the great Brother Fox These fast dogs ( jets) that little blade sired, did they win group races ? Did they break track records ? Did they make a big success at stud ? Hidden Blade, Tarana Boy race careers not up to Brother Fox standard. Little Blade best son was B Fox by a mile compared to the jets mentioned. Analogy Time: Elton John had a hit with Benny and the JETS but nowhere near as good as his mega hits Welcome back Tom and Doug. Pleasing to hear from you both

What was Prince Kua like as a race dog Tom? Hes bred like the great sires New Tears, Amerigo Man and Ginger 2x3
On Hidden Blade...trained by Harry Sarkis...he was a star! Sired the brilliant Cobbalena!
Hidden Blade was the source of Harrys biggest racing disappointment two decades ago. The greyhound went through the Australian Cup series undefeated, only to be skittled at the first turn as he was going to the lead in the final.
Mile Post sire Johnny Wood CLICK HERE although couple others he threw were pretty good in Picture This and Campus Wood. Picture This was owned by quite a few Sydney Swans players.
