Had a young 6 month pup at the vets today that has a stifle injury he says it's a few weeks old and has started to callous, there's no tendon or ligament injury just bone. I was advised to keep him locked in for a few weeks the then light walking along with some sort of liniment,

Has anyone had this problem and how did they treat it ????

Best advice Kevin keep him in his kennel for 6/7 weeks then small run for another few weeks . If you have the time he will come ok. If you rush it he wont

This makes sense as I never had a pup injure a stifle then in the space of 6 months I had 2 broken stifles from pups by same dam but different sire.
They are being reared in the same 2 fields we have been using for over 30 years.

So far so good and they look to be fine.
