Manningham council has a "dog park" and track for dog owners wishing to exercise their dogs off-lead in an enclosed space.
It is used by greyhound and other breed owners alike, with keys available to members for a yearly membership payment.

Nowhere in Knox is there an off-lead area that is fully enclosed.

I am considering making a submission to the Knox City Council for an area, fully enclosed, for dog owners to utilize as a safe off-lead play area.

Whether the area is governed and managed such as the track in Manningham council, or is a free to access area would depend on the council, and support from interested Knox residents.

Keeping in mind that Greyhounds are not permitted off-lead in any area other than designated to include Greyhounds (or private property).
To request an area "just for greyhounds" would not garner enough support to convince the council that it is a good idea or necessary use of resources.

I'd like to find out firstly if there are any Knox residents on the forum, who would be interested in supporting a proposal to Council, or If you know a Knox resident (dog owner, not necessarily a greyhound) who would support the proposal.

Did you ever try the Knox council. Manninghams is great but a pain to get to after work from kilsyth south there are a number of very good spots i can think of just around near me let alone in the greater knox area.
