Reckon you're right Con. But its far to say that unlike the house fly these biting stable flies are only a recent arrival in my yard. And I still think they can be eradicated.

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR YOU LITTLE RIPPER $3.64 and it's cured the flies AMAZING THANKS ALOT
Funny how versatile vinegar in its different variations can be. Like I always say many times old timer remedies prove superior than the "latest" technology. These old fellas knew there stuff. that's another 1 to add to my old timer remedy folder. thanx !

I have a air curtain above the door BUT they must get a good run up as they get inside the kennels. And I have 2 sticky hangers inside that do a good job as well.

Something I've heard/been told by an old timer is to take a gallon sized ziplock bag fill it with about an inch of water and hang it from the ceiling in front of any door/window entrance that flies might enter.
I have no idea WHY it works, but, it does - my guess would be the light refracting from the water in the bag freaks the little fk'ers out and they just stay away.
