No Mark use the FM as a worm drench........does tape as well as the normal round worm species

Sorry to confuse

I have stuck to the water base one because it can also be used as a spray and a rinse which makes it more versatile

I have a terrible flea problem at the moment. Last year Frontline spray was working. This year I used Advantage on the greyhounds (working well so far) and Frontline spray on the Italian Greyhounds as there are too many of them to use advantage. The frontline worked for a week and now they are covered on fleas again.
I am about to go to Bunnings and get some confidor and give this a try.
Have read dilution is 1ml confidor to 2ml water. Then apply 1ml of the mix to a greyhound.
How much would be a suitable amount for an IG given they weigh 5-7kg. ?

Thanks

Hi Wayne
The girl say hi back
Ended up using advantage on the IGs. Bought the biggest size and split it down to IG size. Keeping the confidor for the big greys

Claire it's important you get the mix right for it to work properly. I've even applied the concentrate without water but it doesn't work well.

The mix I've found works well with greys is 1ml C ==> 2mls water. Apply down their back in 3 places. Between the shoulder blades, middle of their back and between pin bones.

I also use the same dosage on a 12kg house dog.

Dont know that I'd be game to use the same dosage on small pups though.

Then I put a few mls in a 1 litre spray bottle, mix with water (keep it fairly cloudy), and spray the kennel area.

Result is haven't had fleas for last 6 mths and it's now summer, and still haven't given them another dose.

I bought I think a 200ml bottle of the concentrate(thx Trev), and I'd still have 185ml left. I do only have 5 dogs at a time though.

Ryan would you recommend the use of this product on three month old pups or is this still a bit to young?
The product I have is called Mallet and it's active constituent is 200g/L imidacloprid, same as confidor.

Andrew I cant remember having to use confidor on the pups at a young age as fleas were no where to be seen when they were born. I'd got rid of the flea problem a while b4 the pups arrived.

Cheers Ryan no worries. Just Having good results on adult dogs after one application but wanting to exercise caution with pups at this stage. At $57 per liter, Mallet seems pretty good value.
