You didn't answer my question, Richard. This could make her cold, but I don't think that would cause her blood readings to be like they are.

Well, if they don't work, get some Baytril, as if she has a fungal infection, it can be hard to shift and you need specific antibiotics.

Carole, just checked last course and she had Baytril as well as Pelcam. This did work but cough returned within a few weeks. Thus the new anti with an attempt to lift the Platelets level. (I am assuming the platelets are linked with the imune system?)

just another quick one Carole, do you think the B12 is better injected to the neck or rump? Just curious?

I don't think the platelets are your main problem, Richard. The WCC is extremely high. Can you do me a favour and email me the whole lot of results, plus your phone number, as this is taking too long and is rather fragmented.
We give B12/FA in a back leg, but I am sure others may do it differently. My email address is [email protected]

Not following you ? Do you have a print out of all the results, and I don't have a fax.

Hi Carole
Have the same problem as Richard in that our bitch is doing great over the first 300 yds and slowing up on way home. I got bloods done recently where we got these readings that were high RBC 8.56,
HCT 61.0, HGB 20.9 and CREA 177.
These readings were low PLT 43, GLOB 24
I would appreciate if you could look at these and maybe have a solution.

Is there anywhere you can get a print out or copy of what a healthy racing greyhounds bloods should be? I can find canine blood examples online but not racing greyhounds counts should be.

Search for Tom Meulmans Guide to Interpreting Blood Profiles.. Plenty of good reading there.
