Thanks heaps guys. I'll write a little bit more about it later on as just about to head out to trials. Quickly though, I discovered more through trial and error that a short sharp turn (less time on the turn) with effectively 2 straights works far better than a gradual sloping degree of radius like at Angle Park and Gawler.

I'd never have risked her trialing at Strath until about 3 weeks back because I didn't think her flexor/stopper would hold up but after some other work, I decided to trial her there and was very pleasantly surprised with her run and how she pulled up.

So my lesson in this and for others is that if you have a dog with a ruptured ECR on the front right leg you may want to try and build them up on for racing on tracks with less time not more navigating the bend (right is important, as left legs drive up the straight and right front leg takes pressure on the turns). Just never forget the risks, if the dog isn't right and hasn't had significant time building up compensating structures you risk tearing the flexor, stopper or doing in the wrist if the dog misplaces it's foot in mid-stride.

Really hoping she can go on well with it now that she's passed the maiden barrier. Either way, I'm really stoked with her grit and determination to be a race dog despite her permanent handicap.
