Seven nominations for this year's Shootout - EXTERNAL LINK
Who should make the final four for the $50k winner-takes-all feature?

Why wouldn't you put the Top Gun winner in?

He was having his 1st start from a break.

Is this a question for me? He wasn't nominated for the race.

If not for me then I guess they didn't think the format suited although it does seem an odd decision.

Sorry Doug. Didn't know that. Should have read the link. All good.

I agree with 3 of your 4 but I would put Awesome Project in, instead of either Oakvale Destiny or Iva Vision, who are a toss up decision

haha, all good mate, figured that was it.

Love to see Iva Vision get a run, VERY quick dog and the format would suit although you can probably say that about them all.

Disappointed My Bro Fabio isn't there.

Theres three dogs that should be automatics and the other spot is a toss up. Iva vision and banjo boy are both dogs who could jump or come from off pace who are perfect for a shoot out allen deed in a 4dog field is just a certainty I dont think any of the other nominated dogs has a hope with him in the field. Star recall and awesome project would be the two imo tossing up for the other spot! But as always im sure local bias will force iva vision out of the field even though he went 29.4 first start in the state. Just like other top interstate dogs who have missed out to lesser deserving locals!

The Topgun panel has ruined this race for everyone!!!... If fabio was in Topgun would be in Shootout for sure... 3 day back up from Hume Cup was not ideal...

I'd have to agree there. I don't think they realise the impact their decision has had until now.

The fastest dog in Aus and not given a start in either the Top Gun or the Shootout. Farcical !

Aren't they 2 separate race clubs who choose these 2 races? And would they consult each other anyway?

Fabio would destroy any greyhound in Australia in a 4 dog field IMO
He should have been in the Top Gun for sure.
Scratch him from the final of Hume cup I say ( I have the 4 dog in final)
Ha Ha ha!!!

You guys still whinging that he didnt get in, if the connections wanted my bro fabio in this race then they wouldnt have chosen to run in the hume cup heats its that simple! He didnt get a spot in the topgun cause the panel had 10dogs rated higher than him so why would they care about future races!

Isn't the Hume Cup worth $75k winner & Shootout $50k?

Care to give a bit of an analysis of the race as you see it panning out?
