Absolute Superstar Phil, the best I have seen since I've been involved in the sport

I cant believe the controlling bodies aren't using this freak to ram positive marketing to the public this is a once in decade star and you see nothing

To busy ramming new forms down our throats and not getting on the front foot and showing off our superstars to the public

Cant wait to watch this star again next week

Cheers Matt

To right Phil & Matt.

16 wins from his last 17 starts & our leaders are just letting the water flow under the bridge.

Hows it go......

THERE WAS SOMETHING IN BOX 5 TONIGHT,
IT WENT ALRIGHT....FERNANDO.
CAN YOU HEAR THE DRUMS, OUR LEADEEEEEERS.

This dog is the real deal. A couple of things stand out to me:

breaks 5.00 to the mark mea.
runs 17.50 to the back el grand senor runs 17.40 plus from memory but wasnt a true 500m dog.
Fernando very strong will beat bekim's sdn record by the melbourne cup given his current age is 26 months so easy 2-3 lenghts improvement left.
An absolute certainty to break the mea 600m record as well.
His action is effortless I remember watching him run fast time early in his career and i thought he went alright i fell off the chair when i saw the time and the age he was.
Have a look at his breeding and brothers and sisters etc nothing too special he is just a freak up there with the best a bit like flying amy early pace wins him everything.
Given the issue on performance enhancers and the testing he may well be the best we have seen for a very long time.
does anyone know what he was trailling early before racing at geelong for first two sections

John

His sister Elfin Bale won the G2 Ladies Bracelet and most of his litter are already city winners

I would say it was a pretty decent litter by most standards

Sandro i respect your opinion but you are kidding there are lots of litters like that how much better is he than the litter.

Let me give you example the best litter i have seen is totally ablazes litter the nodizio bred 6 classic winners in one litter. You might say west capes litter granted lot of track record winners but not classic winners and the former was better sires many measures but good for discussion.

No worries John

I agree with you that he is a freak of a dog

I just thought it was a litter way above average as not many have two city winners in them let alone two Group winners

I agree with you re Totally Ablazes litter, it was an allround top class litter

As was Nation Parade, Promises Free's litter

Then you have Hallucinate's litter as well

More recently you have Bekim, Heston, Irma, Defrim Bale in one litter

The point is look at the time span between all these great litters. There are probably quite a few more not mentioned, but look at the percentage of say litters with two Group winners in it over all litters born in this period and I would be betting that the % would be very small.

Gary your probably right but those pre-date me so i can only talk about what I have seen. Many in the northern rivers will say the best dog that ever raced was happy chappy (???) but its hard to line up dogs across eras.

Very excited to say my Brood Scissor Queen came on season this morning.
Lucky enough to have secured a straw from Fernando for her.

What a shame this brillant dog has not recieved the public recognition it deserves - it's almost black caviar performances would be on the tongues of true sport lovers and the general public in any other era.

Hey Ben Nice choice, One would think if u were to sell any of them it should be pretty easy lol. Could be another nice option to whelp them in Victoria.

I would think you would have to go along way for a group 1 winning litter to beat the Destini Fireball litter.

Lack of opposition in Sydney makes him look even better , only 5 dogs break 30 seconds in 4 semi finals of a group race and 3 of them are from Victoria.
He was there to be beaten last night going to that first turn , but not a good enough dog to even run 30 seconds shows the lack of decent dogs running around in Sydney at the moment.
Great dog , not denying that , just outlining he has no real opposition .
