I understand that they have to limit your involvement but realistically everything but racing they shouldn't be able to do too much about.

No this is not fair people had purchased straws and when trying to transfer told not aloud it is ridiculous as you said what harm can be done by transferring now she stuck with them and ???? What happens now you have other people involved vets with straws costs what now do they just stay with the vets ? Get destroyed or what happens I have a couple and don't no. I don't blame the lady in question just think authority's should use common sense would be better for all.

It seems to be a case of victimisation.

It is not a sale of any dogs. She is just offloading frozen semen so someone else can breed dogs.

She would romp it in if she took it to its full legal course.

Racing Qld are wrong in this case.

So so so many issues once you stop and think about this.

Eg:

Who is the applicant on the transfer form?
Answer: Not the person selling

Who is the person whom the application fee was taken from?
Answer: Not the person selling

When were the paying applicants notified of the decision to not to process their forms?
Answer: they weren't.

What appeal avenues do these applicants have?
Answer: None are automatically given, so would they go to the RAB(t)? Or to the courts?

I believe their has been massive failing in procedural fairness shown to the applicants.

yeah, I don't see how it matters if it was a dog.

if u r disqualified and can't race it yourself now, of course u shouldn't be stopped from selling the dog.
could u imagine if it was Fernando bale? can't race, can't breed from him? no way would that hold up in court surely?

Say this lady banned for life ? And the straws at the vets several what happens to them she isn't reg to transfer but still owns and cannot move so does that mean she pays storage for the next 40 years or so till its some one else's problem or do the vets lose at no fault of hers a bit of common sense tells you it would be easier for all to let sell and transfer.

Racing queensland does not take the fee.

Which creates another issue,
Eg: how can a Nsw participant buying a straw located in nsw be stopped by racing queensland.

But per the classified post I have been refunded (well the cheque is in the mail - so I now will exit this discussion).

For mine, GA needs an appeal mechanism. As a participant they seem to just follow the decisions of the state authorities (who I guess fund them).

To me GA needs more teeth & needs not to be afraid to over-rule the states.

Most of GA wouldn't know if their rear end was on fire

GA has always been very helpful & useful in my experience with them. Unfortunately they are now in an unprecedented situation.

however, importantly, they are the authority with the (delegated) power for FS registration.

So as a NSW participant making an application for FS transfer I should be able to request a review of their decision, if they refuse such, (IMO) GRNSW would need to hear my appeal (not RQ) as I am a NSW participant buying a NSW straw..

Per my earlier post, lots of issues here once you actually think about it.

From what I'm lend to believe.....those that have been recently disqualified in QLD, cannot make any income thru greyhounds.

If that's the case, tell J.E. to give these items to you for free....therefore there's no case of income.

If you feel you need to make a cash deposit because your getting such a good deal for what ever reason, simply give J.E. daughter a sling.....or past it on to me & i'll rightful do what rightfully should have happened in the first place.

My wife purchased a vial for $4400 and the money was transfered months ago but she still cannot take possession of the straw because the person has been disqualified and yet to go to court.

Rather than assuming everyone knows what's going on, can someone provide a short, simple explanation as to what has happened?

I gather someone in Qld is being refused the right to sell / transfer Frozen semen units and / or greyhounds; is that correct?

If so, what legislation / legal authority is this supposedly being enacted under?
