When was the Alliance going to tell us that we can make application to them about the future direction of the industry? I don't know the details but applications close next Thursday.

The directions already planned.Lesser tracks lesser dogs lesser breeders. The direction doesn't involve most of us hence the gestapo hounding many breeders and there set ups.Eradication thru stealth tactics.

Another issue that should hopefully be worked out for the betterment of the sport... welfare/rehoming groups to be regulated and licensed and inspected regularly so trainers and owners can feel safe to send their dogs to them and know they are being looked after.
PS I must say I was really surprised when the reporter contacted me out of the blue last week on FB and asked to meet me to do an interview as the story had gone viral all week with youtube video of the greyhound in question in a horrifying condition.
and the youtube video below (warning, distressing content for those who are very sensitive) EXTERNAL LINK

Is someone going to be prosecuted for the cruelty? Yes, greyhound foster carers should be regulated n inspections done regularly, especially if there is a breach like this one.

Lets hope they don't put it in the 'too hard' basket. . May I ask, how did you find her in that condition?

If the RSPCA n GRNSW are 'fairdinkum' about welfare then they should be going their 'hardest' with this one.

thanks Andrew, she's doing much better, but still not out of the woods yet, going to be a long road to recovery, besides the wound on her back, she had bad muscle damage under her chest which only just came up a few days after her rescue. Still no idea how her injury happened.. wasn't told the truth or the foster just didn't know ...

Link from thedogs.com.au re: media release on Panel's Report. . EXTERNAL LINK . Here's the kicker from the Media Release !
Crucially, the panels report recommends changes to the funding arrangements currently in place for the NSW greyhound racing industry to support the additional welfare, integrity and operational costs that will be required. This includes amending the Inter-Code Deed and revisiting the distribution of tax harmonisation revenues between the three codes of racing in NSW. . So, the Coalition doesn't want to change the Inter-Code Agreement. Instead, wants the three codes to consult with one another first. .
This had me thinking ! Have we as an industry actually had formal and documented meetings with the other two codes about this very same matter ? If we have and the three codes haven't agree then, we should continue to apply the pressure on the Gov't to change it. Let's make it an election issue.
Don't let anyone tell you the agreement cannot be changed or even dismissed.

Has anyone heard any names being thrown around to go on the new Board ? I heard one might be coming from the Alliance. . Also, what about changes to the Grading System ? WFM, let's make it simpler n not complicate it even more !

Did Lismore go under again ? It cost a fortune the last two times to fix it. . GRNSW has just cut administration funding to non-TAB n other arrangements, yet they've propped up Lismore to the tune of many tens of thousands of dollars. Come on, let's get serious ! .

Having the Govt Repeal the Ban: Is the Alliance now obsolete? Having the Govt Accept the Panel's recommendations! is the panel finished? Coleman, Scott, Iemma and Baird's cronies?? or is Scott to valuable to them?

Implementation of the recommendations is most important. The bond on pups and reducing race fields may have dramatic impacts on the industry and we need representation to fight for reasonable outcomes on these issues.
My view is even a modest bond may destroy breeding in NSW and there be no such thing as a giveaway.
