Wow Keen Move just won in Tralee in 28.12 by 15 lenghts in the Juvenile Classic. Nice start to his carreer. Congrats to all connections of Keen Move. I breed his dam so I'm thrilled.

That's some run. Great to have played a part influencing her bloodlines. Well done Lotte.

It was an OPEN UNRACED STAKE!! it wasn't a graded race so all UNRACED pups would obviously have found time and they weren't out with genuine graders.... I think you picked the wrong topic for your jealousy !!!

Or it could be the stars were in the right position when they were born :-P
The breeder Henning Olesen made a wise decision chose a brilliant sire for this bitch and the offspring seems to have both early and stays well. The rearer feed the pups the best. Pup was schooled well. The trainer did an excellent job and the dog ran really fast. It takes a lot more than "just" the influence of the sire Mr genious !

Just an observation when looking at the " Strike Rate " of the Sire. You would not have to be " a genius " to select him to " UPGRADE " your Dam Line

Lotte I commented elsewhere (Twitter) on the breeding of Keen Move.

'Keen Move fast debut at Tralee last night. Interesting combination of UK, IE, Au, Swedish breeding with coursing damline - Smokey Flavour!'

Fantastic achievement and enjoy the 'glow'!

Really brave decision to breed the dam again considering she only had 1 pup registered from a previous litter that wasn't plain sailing for them. Well done all. Loyalty and trust in the dam payed off big time. Lovely dam line also. Dead set was some bitch.

The dam only gave birth to one pup which had to be taken by cesarean because the bitch pup was huge. The bitch later got very ill after a trial and was diagnosed with an extremely large heart which made the bitch very sick. Despite several treatments for the bitch to get healthy enough for rehoming we had to put her to sleep 15 months old, it was a tough one to get over as it's needless to explain how pampered she was being the only pup. We bought a pup to keep her company Breakdevilsdish (Ardera Power-Happy Holly) she was a feisty little bitch. People come to all sorts of conclusion without checking facts first, the bitch pup showed good early and was a lovely sorts no wonder Henning took a chance on her !

Fascinating read in relation to the x factor/pathway topics here previously and the possible presence of a large heart gene similar to that proven in the equine world .. particularly with regard to champion performers

It's also interesting that the brood is a Westmead Hawk bitch .. Mega Delight a possible double copy carrier Ryan ?? .. it wouldn't be a surprise if he were to end up as good a brood sire as the likes of Spiral Nikita

Good luck to Keen Move for the rest of the comp .. although given our girl has just visited Eske i'll probably be cheering Sidarian Eska !!

I think that would be a huge surprise.

Mega Delight's strongest mulitple x paths are to Elsie Moss through Pitstock Park.

Spiral Nikita's are to Millies May

Paul i wasn't suggesting they were bred along similar lines .. merely that Hawk might end up as good a sire of broods as Spiral .. and i doubt there's much wrong with being line bred to Elsie Moss .. she does after all feature in prominent slots in the peds of Temlee and Temora Lee and has strong x pathway intensity to Chief Havoc .. and you could argue that Mega Delight's strongest multiple x paths are to Whisper Wishes on her dam's side

You have to go a long way back to find Smokey Flavour. Much as I love coursing lines I don't think it makes a great deal of difference to Keen Move's bloodline.

It would make a difference if she wasn't there!

It was just a point of interest Steve and not a statement of influence on Keen Move, although, in my humble opinion ancestry of the damline is everything, but, I accept this didn't appear to apply to Staplers Jo!
